I booked this hotel in August 2024. I booked a room which should be, according to the description, "Fully equipped, 258 sq. ft. rooms. Queen-size bed, sofa, WiFi, minibar, 55" smart TV, wood floor, free coffee and tea. The perfect choice for work or leisure. Maximum 2 guests." No sofa, very stark room, no decorations. Mini bar was empty. Some tea and coffee, no milk. No view, just the wall of another building. The bathroom was for disabled use, so rails on the toilet and a walk in shower. How anyone under 6 feet tall could reach the rather pathetic shower I don't know, so for disabled people that would prove very difficult. There was only one toilet roll, which had maybe half the number of sheets of a new roll. The pillows on the bed were old and folded over. When I complained, I was told that the hotel was fully booked and that nothing could be done unless I swapped with my sister who was also staying in this hotel. The breakfast area was understaffed and absolute chaos. I cleared and wiped our table as there was no one else to help. No milk for tea or cereal. Slow coffee machine which made for long queues and a toaster that provided nothing other than warm bread. This was my husbands 60th birthday, we had been on a cruise which finished in Barcelona and this stay took the shine of what was a lovely few days at sea. Ivan on reception was nice and did send a small cheesecake to our room as a birthday present. Unfortunately, this did not make up for or disappointment.

We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with your room. While we have recently renewed the bedding across our rooms just two months ago, we fully understand that comfort is subjective and can vary from one guest to another. Regarding the minibar, we would like to clarify that in our standard rooms, a complimentary bottle of water is provided upon arrival. We are sorry that this was missing during your stay, and we will ensure our housekeeping team is more vigilant moving forward. We also regret that you were not informed in advance about the bathroom being an accessible (PMR) facility. We understand that this may not have been suitable for your needs, and we are reviewing our room assignment procedures to avoid similar situations in the future. As for breakfast, we are aware of the challenges during peak times and are already taking steps to reinforce our team and improve the performance of our coffee and toaster machines. We’re pleased to hear that Ivan at reception was able to offer a small gesture for your husband’s birthday. However, we understand that this was not enough to make up for the overall disappointment. We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again under better circumstances. Booked here against my better judgement as my colleagues had already booked and it made it cheaper for the taxis. I've never regarded anything Novotel as a particularly good choice for business & this visit confirmed it. The Taxi from the airport was expensive, Barcelona traffic is horrendous, not helped by the many traffic lights & pedestrian crossings. Big delays at check in, if you only have two stations manned and staff doing other tasks then as a good manager you'd open more. No not here! I then get informed the electricity is being turned off from 00:00 to 04:00 great when you're on the 18th floor! When I get to check in firstly they want payment for the first night, I normally pay when checking out. Secondly they didn't have my ACCOR loyalty details, saying my travel agent hadn't sent it across. What's more zero help on finding it, no looking it up. The room was OK. All the team complained about the showers. Very poor pressure & you had to run around to get wet! I only ate in one day, food was OK, not very accommodating as I am gluten free. I never did see any gluten free items at breakfast. The night before check out 2nd April I checked my bill for express check out in the morning. The lady who checked me out was fantastic. The next morning I dropped my card off, they promised that the bill would be mailed to me and then left. Needless to say when it became time to do my expenses I had received no final bill. That required a phone call as the ACCOR app doesn't do invoices! When the bill did come in, it had been split into 3 parts. The first night, the remaining 2 nights & the meal. All came in as 3 separate charges to my American Express card. This is one of the things I say about being a non-business hotel!

Четвёртый раз останавливаюсь в этом отеле и хочу сказать, что впечатление испортилось из-за непрофессиональной работы сотрудников на стойке регистрации. У меня платиновый уровень в системе Аккор, а мне не сделали апргрейд, не считая вида на город!!!
