It was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed. Booked last minute and arrived late. No reception. You check-in through the machine. Entered the room which was stinking. Stains on the duvet and hair in the bed. As if the sheets wasn’t changed from the previous booking. Floor wasn’t cleaned properly. Toilet wasn’t cleaned. Thank God the shower was alright. Avoid at all cost.

Our family of six (kids aged 18,17,12 and 10) stayed here while travelling from Dieppe to Tuscany. Roughly 5 hours drive from Dieppe, the hotel is the perfect place to bed down for the night. It’s pretty basic and not a destination hotel, but as somewhere close to the autoroute, it’s perfect. There are 3 restaurants within a short walk making it an easy evening choice. We chose the railway diner - see picture - which was great for the kids. The rooms are basic but fine and good value for money. We had three rooms and one was a little noisy and hot. But otherwise fine. We left early and didn’t have a breakfast at the hotel. That was a mistake as the local McDonald’s was shut so the kids went hungry for a while. Overall, I’d recommend if you’re doing a similar journey to us.

We have stayed in this Ibis Hotel every year for many years. It is comfortable, and good value. The manager Frederick is most welcoming and accommodating and will go out of his way to help with any requests or problems

If you need a clean accomodation with all the necessary things for your stay - the Ibis Budget chain is the right choice. Pouilly en Auxois wasn't an exeption: We know what we'll get and we got it. We'll come back.

We booked two rooms, one for 3 people and one single, arrived late due to autoroute delays, but the electronic entry system worked fine and the rooms were ready, clean and comfortable (although the 3rd bed had to be made up). The soundproofing's not perfect - I could hear the traffic through a closed window, and the decor's a little tired and faded, but you get what you pay for - it was a decent bed and a good hot shower!
