A Privilege room is really not worth it!

I booked a privilege room for two nights mistakingly thinking I would get a great room. On arrival I was allocated room 332 and found this was not the case. The room was actually the same size as their standard rooms only 18sq m. The towels were thread bare and really hard, the room did not have adequate blackout blinds, the chipboard table by the coffee machine was chipped and swollen from water spills, the toilet seat was obviously a replacement that was clearly the incorrect size and not soft close, the basin did not drain that well, I also needed help with the safe as I incorrectly thought I had made an error with the code a helpful man showed me how to set it but only with the door open but with the door actually closed it was really tricky and difficult to open. I did ask reception exactly what were the privileges I was paying extra for and was told it was bathrobes and the safe on my travels I thought these were standard no a privilege and also if I wanted a larger room I should have booked a suite. The positives were Beaune, parking, location, pool and the bar staff.

Excellence in people, service and cuisine Running a conference in the Mercure Beaune Centre is a perfect experience: from the organising team around Cassandre, the perfect crew at the welcome desk and the équipe in the kitchen and in the service (from morning breakfast to evening wine at the bar), simply everybody lived the Mercure culture at top level. The room was great. The staff were efficient and kind, especially one of the reception staff Pauline, who helped me extend my stay when needed. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beaune. This review process is odd though as it requires a minimum of 200 characters…good hotel though.

Comfortable and welcoming hotel.

Warm welcome, busy but restaurant supported dinner 20 mins prior to close. Good service and tasty meals and local wine. Comfortable rooms with easy access for our wheelchair using son. Parking convenient and secure. Easy walk to city centre. Late for breakfast but welcome given and a full choice with a positive level of service despite being late.

Perfect stop off to the Alps

As always this ‘stop off to the alps’ hotel didn’t disappoint. New chef in restaurant M7, excellent wines and good menu cooked perfectly. The bar area is spacious and tastefully decorated. Spacious suite, drab in colour but otherwise has all the amenities you need. Excellently located a 5 minute walk from the beautiful historic town of Beaune
