Warm and friendly welcome!

Lovely hotel, warm friendly staff and excellent food. It is of a very good standard, the atrium is relaxing and airy. We had drinks on the terrace and ate breakfast in the garden room. Breakfast was delicious.

The bedroom is quite small, we don't have enough space to put baggages, the inside sanitation is unsatisfied, the WiFi network is unstable. In addition, the breakfast is unsatisfied because the food is lacked, also travelling groups only can sit in a small room, visitors may feel unrespectful because we cannot sit in the formal dining area. It seems that the service of this hotel is totally awful. It might be suitable for single person, not recommend to travelling groups or couples and families.

We decided to return here, as last year we had a great experience and dinner . After speaking with the manager in advance was told that I did not need to book for dinner. On arrival we were told there were not adequate staff to serve dinner yet on return from walking into town to eat found four couples all enjoying a dinner! 30 Chinese young people then descended on the hotel to stay and it was almost impossible just to get to the bar. The thin walls meant hearing talking most pf the night from the rooms above us. We shall not return to this hotel as it operates under a franchise where inadequate supervision is given to management of the place. We shall not return here until the staffing levels are addressed properly and IBIS standards applied

As always very comfortable beds and a good breakfast, an easy walk into town where there is an excellent selection of restaurants. We have a loyalty card and so far on this trip we have stayed Ibis Hotels in 4 different towns, but this is the only one that gives only one person a welcome drink and we must pay for the other drink! Is one of us not really welcome?

When we stayed here in July the room that we had reserved was not available and the one provided was not at all suitable. The staff worked extremely hard to solve the problem and all was eventually resolved. When we returned in August our reserved room was ready for us and there were smiles all round. As well as a good room, excellent staff and a quiet location we also enjoyed the food and wine. There is a more limited menu choice than many Ibis hotels because everything is freshly cooked. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
