Pool has No shade

The hotel itself is lovely and the Italian restaurant downstairs was fantastic. But I was really disappointed that the pool had zero shade options despite being in the full sun for most of the day - no umbrellas at all. This meant that we couldn’t use it which was a real shame.

Hotel fully renovated good offering. I have stayed here almost 10 times but this was the first time since the full renovation of the rooms and pool on roof, and they have done a good job. Still a great place for a staycation if you live in sydney.

Perfect first aid late one evening

Many thanks to staff member Shavam (?) for providing quick first aid care at 10pm on a Saturday night when I came in with a grazed knee from tripping outside a friend's house I'd just visited. Had the full alcohol clean of the wound and spare band aids. Much appreciated. Alan - 79 year old man from Hobart.

Beautiful hotel in great location on Manly Beach. Everything was just great from the moment we check I till the end of our stay. Carla at reception was absolutely terrific. She upgraded our room and was so happy and vivacious. This is our wedding anniversary trip and I had sent this note to the hotel. Our upgraded room, 521, was oceanfront and wonderful. It was big, modern, luxurious, and had a balcony with great views of Manly Beach. The room had a Nespresso coffee maker, stocked refrigerator, kettle, and teas. The bathroom towels were huge and fluffy. Breakfast was a complete buffet, which had two options, continental at $40, or full breakfast with eggs, beans, bacon, the works for $ 55. The freshly made cappuccinos were super. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and friendly. They were all young people and made us feel very welcome. The hotel has a rooftop pool with great views. You can order drinks and food at the pool. The spa, which we didn’t use, is at the pool. We noticed there is a sauna. There is a huge fitness area in the back of the hotel with every piece of work out equipment. There is a stylish Italian restaurant and bar in the hotel. We heard from the staff this was a very good dining choice. We didn’t eat there though. Throughout our stay what I enjoyed most was the staff’s pleasant and happy disposition. They were all so pleasant, interested is us, interesting people. It made us feel very special to be guests.

This hotel basic rooms been consistently around $400 for weekdays and higher for weekends. So I had high expectations. The selected staff are courtious and attentive. The star performer is Saki at the Resturant. Breakfast was busy on a Friday but she was great at getting orders, service with a smile. Breakfast setup is adequate with eggs to order. Housekeeping in the room setup is good but had to follow up few times for extea blanket and dental kids The rooms are clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious. Mine had a really comfortable bed and one of the better hotel showers I’ve had in a while. Housekeeping did a great job throughout the stay, and I appreciated the small touches like the stocked minibar and the balcony seating for morning coffee.
