Awesome stay as usual

I am an Accor Plus Platinum member, and I regularly stay at this hotel, so I imagine to some degree I get special treatment. Two staff from the VIP team met me at reception, and helped take my luggage to my upgraded room, that had been set up just like I like. The Chef did a great job in cooking breakfast for me just like I like. I particularly like the orange juice machine you can use at breakfast. I like the refurbishment of the hotel, which has a really fresh look, particularly the carpets, and I also like it that almost all their rooms now have walk in showers. This is was my second visit of the year and fourth visit in total (seems I forgot to leave a review earlier in the year!). Obviously, I'm a huge fan of this hotel. I like to book into one of the Coastal Villas if I have my partner and/or family with me, since 2 bedrooms and a living area is very handy. The room includes valet parking and other various perks. This was the first time I was given a villa on the 5th floor and it was lovely, though I noticed that the higher-up villa I was given in July had a connecting door to another room, which may be useful to me at some point (though other guests may want to avoid that).

Quite disappointed stay

1.We have booked the room from our our Amex points, obviously we got the worst room( room 341). Right next to the lift , storage room and with interconnected door with another room. We either got woke up by house keeping noise or screaming kids early morning. 2. We have used the pool, but couldn't use the sauna ( no one has informed us that we had to book , so we were just standing outside with towels till I reached out to the staff near the bar). 3. Check in was perfect, staff was friendly. Check -out process was a bit disappointing. First of all, the lift was too busy n too small, so we carried our suitcases n used staircases. Then I was patiently waiting for my turn in front of the desk. However, the staff (lady) finished checking out with the previous guest, she ignored my existence n gave more attention to another guest (Caucasian). I made my way through n paid my bill. Not impressed with the hospitality, lucky I was booking via Amex points.

Not worth the money

For 600 dollars the worst service I've ever had. Terrible food , interruptive service, loud downstairs . Not worth the money or hype in my opinion - Run by very inexperienced staff . Shame because we were really looking forward to it. I booked the king water view room on the 10th August - No concierge help, room service again was tricky to book. On the late night menu there was a problem with their ordering so only offering cheese toasties - scrambled eggs the next day burnt and $30 odd bucks with some cheap orange juice from Coles . Coffee was terrible . Need I go on? Sorry but spending $600 then charged big time for rubbish service, food and parking is a scam . Manly deserves better.
