Very pleasant hotel in a very central position in Reading.Small bar in Reception. Excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend.Room well equipped . Shower only in my room 202.Walking distance to the Railway station and also near all the shops and restaurants

All employees was were gentle and helpful specially I want point out to Mark he was were responsive Thanks for everything and good relationship. My room was very clean. Linen, towels and amenities were changed daily. In the middle of town centre hut surprisingly was very quiet. Alexander.

Cheap is expensive. Dishonest advertising.

There is a lot to like about Ibis generally, however I was really unhappy with this place due to the false advertising. I was driving there in this occasion and picked this specifically because the Accor ALL app stated there was parking. When I received the confirmation email from the hotel, there was no clear information about this so I tried to call several times, but it was engaged constantly. I drove straight to the hotel where only to find it was right in the middle of a restricted area and there was in fact no on site parking. I went to the closest parking I could find on google maps which was extremely expensive and carried my bags through a very ropey part of town late at night as a result. On arrival at the hotel, they had slips of paper with car park details also 7 or 8 minutes away. These would have been cheaper than the one I had found but having been approached by several drunk men on the way to the hotel I was not in a position to venture back to collect the car, so had to swallow the cost. I can see from this thread that others have been fined for taking their car up to the hotel, I hope this doesn’t happen to me too. I did wrote to Accor a week ago who apologised and said they would pass my concerns onto the hotel. However I have had no response and can see that parking is still advertised on the app. I’m generally pretty easily pleased with hotels but dishonesty/false advertising is really poor form in my opinion.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room is basic, Ibis style, but what you expect from Ibis and the price. After an awful experience in an Accor hotel in Bedford recently with zero customer service or care, it was good to have my faith restored in the Accor brand.

The room is satisfactory, barely. There is no fridge, no complementary additives, just a boiling jug. The room is well constructed, yet the toilet compartment seems like a cheap addition to the room, distorting its feel. The wifi is god-awful, capped at very low speeds. The cards demagnetize constantly impeding the overall experience. The overall experience screams "cheap" and "break-even" showing a disregard for customer experience, while reinforcing a "let's make profit" mentality, which sets apart Ibis from reaching a greater level of quality as a hotel option. The only commendable positive aspect of this hotel is its convenient location within the centre of Reading.
