Booked for a birthday night away. Unatmospheric hotel, staff eating fast food on the ‘reception desk’ on entry. We’re served welcome drinks by a friendly and welcoming staff member. All seemed ok until we attempted to use the room sink, it filled with blocked water and many green/brown distugusting unidentifable balls. It was late, midnight so didn’t want to change room as was tired. Not A great night sleep Due to thinking about the sink issue. Hotel staff notities of problem in the morning and I attemepted a full refund but got offered breakfast cost returned. (Breakfast was also not eaten due to sink thoughts) we then went to try the sauna and again not comfortable basement and not pleasant so passed on that too.

I would like to share my experience with the Novotel The Hague. Due to attending an international conference in this hotel, I booked this hotel twice while awaiting funding. Unfortunately, just two days before the conference, I was informed that I had not received funding for my stay or visa. However, all the hotel staff were very polite, professional, and knowledgeable, and were fully understanding of the issue. They facilitated the cancellation of any fines, in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy. Many thanks to the Novotel The Hague. A special thanks to Dr. Wilma Verheydt and Dr. Benedikt Kindo, for their cooperation and follow-up to resolve the issue until we were satisfied and applauded for this solution. Dr. Alia Amer - Egypt

Very far from the city centre. Good location if you have a meeting in Europol or World Forum. The dirtiest Accor hotel I've ever been. Dirty room, dirty sheets, dust everywhere, the floor has never seen a vacuum cleaner. Terrible breakfast. The only edible - boiled eggs. At the reception - unfriendly staff of migrants speaking poor English. I met only one person who speaks good English All of this - for almost 200 euro per night. Avoid this "Novotel" even you have a business meeting near there.

We had a good stay at Novotel World Forum. First the good parts - location is great for a long weekend in The Hague, in between the center and the beach. Good public transport connections with a tram station 5 min walk. Also for business trips this is ideal located with many institutions all around. Rooms are ok, comfortable at Novotel standard and the staff is very attentive. Breakfast was decent though not great for a 4 star. Plenty of options but not all at the standard. Parking at the World Forum is an ok option for 25 euro as it is cheaper than Scheveningen or Centrum. Some improvements points: - the hotel does not have a restaurant and there is not a lot of choice around it so we ended up eating at the Marriot hotel 5 min away - which had grest options. Also the Leonardo hotel has a good restaurant. And they offer similar rates… - the hotel has a bit of a “worn” feeling though all is clean - again comparing it to similar options nearby - we bought directly via their website a weekend Madurodam package but when we arrived nobody seemed to know about it. The staff did handle it well eventually. For a good deal we would stay here again especially because location but it has to be worth it since Novotel competes with 2 good hotels with similar rates (Marriot and Leonardo) which are within 500m from each other.

Difficult to access by car due to extensive roadworks at the moment. Still buffled by the fact that such a hotel wouldn't have room service nor breakfast, especially given how far it is from cafes and restaurants. We were all packed with luggage on a trolley leaving our room when a woman from housekeeping started telling us off why we are still in the room, raising her voice up to a shouting match which she continued on the phone in Dutch, so no idea who she was talking to and what about, but we were supposed to think she was complaining from us to someone very important. So rude, disrespectful and aggressive beyond comprehension?!?! I was ill with fever the evening before, the night and in the morning. In a hotel with no room service, the only option was pizza from the bar downstairs, luckily my husband was well, so he could take care of me, including bringing the food and even hot water from the bar, since the kettle was useless due to burnt residues all over the metal plate. Of course, as I mentioned there was no breakfast so I left the hotel at midday, having had just tea instead of any food for breakfast, still down with a bad cold, but at least I got shouted at by the woman from housekeeping! What a treat!!! At least the young people at the reception desk were kind and helpful, but could not compensate for all the other issues. Not going back there ever again!
