Very convenient place to stay during the fair. The Hotel is at less than 15 minutes from Mess. The staff is very kind and do everything to help you during your stay. Nice place and buffet is very good.

Lacking standards and simple courtesy

I had booked this hotel for a night due to a meeting close by. The hotels location gave me the feeling as if it was in the center of a large farm as except a few commercial building there was only farming/landscaping around. Once you get off the train at Eschborn sued station it is a nice 10 min walk (900mts). There are no taxis available however you can call for Uber. Upon reaching the hotel I was told that it was the wrong hotel as they had 2 Mercure properties in the same vicinity within 100 mts. I suggest they should better highlight this during the booking stage. The receptionist was prompt in checking me in although I find it surprising when receptionist don’t have a smile, don’t have the courtesy to welcome you (a simple sentence "welcome to mercure...) and don’t even check on how was the trip to the hotel. I trust these are basic hospitality standards and just don’t seem to understand why cant a brand like Accor inculcate such a simple process. I was stunned with the receptionist's response when I enquired about the kind of food I could get at their restaurant. She simply said "You can go to the restaurant and check what they have" so basically FIND IT yourself. Another surprising response came from the server at the bar who was not sure what time was the last order as he was like 10:30 or may be 10. So I said maybe I shall be here by 9ish and he was like hopefully that should be good but not sure if the kitchen will still be open, making me feel that it like "till Stocks last". Anyways at the end I went into Frankfurt and found a lovely Bar Chinasky and had a great meal although would have preferred staying indoor and spending it at the hotel especially as they had some kind of chefs competition on their burger. In the last 1 month itself I have stayed at 3 different Mercure and I find it again surprising that basic housekeeping standards are different. There was only one hand & bath towel in the room while in the others I have had 2, Water glass in the bathroom (plastic/glass tumbler), Hair dryer (yes/No), Gym facility (Yes/no), breakfast standards. This is surely something I suggest needs to be looked at especially with the speed that it is growing having standards will certainly help travelers like us plan better. The breakfast certainly was impressive compared to my last one in Munich as it was not only a larger variety of options but also well organized. It was good to see a chef behind the counter keeping a check on the movement of food. I also must highlight the staff were well planned, organized and really had a positive attitude. Certainly a lot of work needs to go in ensuring standards are set and also having a positive, happy attitude. 4 star hotel you are really serious is something I am really wondering.

Whilst the staff was nice and hotel seemed clean I couldn't excuse the pathetic excuse of a breakfast buffet for 170 euro a night.... I think this is poor and penny pintching from a large chain who could do better.

When I wanted to write the review of this hotel, I was surprised to see a lot of negative ones, I respect everyone's personal choice and taste. But I really liked this hotel, it was very clean and room was amazing, sleep quality is nice. Service was not bad at all. Breakfast was amazing, nice selection, good quality. Well not really in middle of Frankfurt but rather out of it. Overall recommended.

Two of the staff at the reception told us that the parking was free given that we were 6 people for 4nights and then - 3 days later, they charged it 12euro per day/night (2 cars = 72 euros). and they were very unfriendly. never again
