Long check in,no lift.A horrible site & awful bedding.Other Ibis Budget hotels are so much better.

Handy location for the motorway but in an industrial area. Ibis & Ibis Styles are on the same site making it feel cramped & closed in. Good parking but no restaurants nearby( the on site Cortepaille steak house has closed down. Very limited outside seating with not a pleasant outlook. It took 20 minutes to check in & there is no lift. The bedding was awful. Wont be staying at any of the Ibis hotels in Brive again.

Having stayed at an Ibis Budget for the first time the previous night in Reims, we booked this one as stop off on our journey. It couldn't have been more different from our first experience! The receptionist was sullen and unfriendly ( might have been even worse if you couldn't speak French!), the room was in dire need of refurbishment and didn't even have proper sheets on the bed! When I asked about sheets, she had they had none but a maintenance guy overheard and went to get me some! The room was very cool on arrival and appeared to have aircondioning but later it was unbearable. There are no staff after 10pm so I asked next door at the Ibis Styles. I was informed that there was no air conditioning and told to open a window! Her manner equalled the negative one of our earlier receptionist! Breakfast was basic and the whole area needs refurbishment. I definitely would not recommend this hotel and would be reluctant to use Ibis Budget again. Either the Reims one of the previous night needs an upgrade, or this one needs a downgrade!

Sometimes travel is something you need to get done—an essential trip not for tourism or leisure but to get from one point to another. in these circumstances, why pay for an expensive multi-starred hotel when all you need is a shower, a bed, decent wifi, and a TV. In my case, I was making a staged trip to the south of France as cost-effectively as possible with my newly imported classic car. Looked at in these terms, the Ibis Budget Hotel chain in France ticks every box. Yes, the rooms are highly functional with only basic home comforts. But, with a double bed and a mezzanine bunk above, they can easily accommodate a small family. Then there's the shower pod- a vacuum-formed capsule designed for efficient showering and easy cleaning. Pretty it may not be, but it does the job, and you can emerge cleansed and refreshed if somewhat uninspired. This Ibis Budget sits at the edge of Breve's shopping/industrial park, so it's not a particularly pretty spot, but that isn't the point. However, a couple of eateries can be found nearby, including an American diner and the ubiquitous Buffalo Grill steak house. I took breakfast in the restaurant, a predictable continental buffet of bread, fruit, cheese, and machine-made beverages. There was little to surprise, but I had no complaints. So while I can't score the Ibis Budget Hotel highly for things like the decor or luxuries, I got precisely what I paid for, and it had everything you need for a quick stopover. A weary traveller can find a safe harbour here as it does its job well. Finally, I must also mention one of the senior staff who helped me find some small parts for a repair I needed to do on my car. Thanks, monsieur, for weighing in and helping me out of a difficult situation!

We spent just one night during travel and the automatic check-in worked well and was convenient. However the room and especially the bathroom was not up to the minimums we expected. The maintenance team should be clearly strengthened in this location.

This hotel, situated in the middle of the commercial area, is just off the motorway, making it an ideal stopover. Carrefour is just down the road, with a filling station. The hotel is very clean, tidy and the breakfast is perfectly adequate. They have a deal with Courtepaille, which is next door, giving a 10% reduction.
