Rooms: The hotel needs an upgrade. The noise from outside and between the rooms is catastrophic. New windows would be good, so one wouldn’t be disturbed by the club music next door which is very loud. Noise between rooms with connecting doors is also a problem. The bathrooms are old and not up to standard. The carpet is not very hygienic. Service: No turn down service which is annoying The concierge didn’t inform about dress code in the restaurants Positive: Nice staff The hotel has all the necessary services Good location

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE SOFITEL. STAFF WERE VERY NICE , HELPFUL AND OFFERED A GREAT AND QUICK SERVICE ALL THE TIME. ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN WITH PERFECT VIEW OF THE NILE. BREAKFAST WAS VERY DELECIOUS WITH WIDE VARIETY OF FOOD AND DRINKS. HOTEL FACILITIES ARE SUPERP INCLUDING THE SPA AND POOL. I DEFINETLY WILL CHOOSE THE HOTEL IF I COME AGAIN TO CAIRO AND I HIGHLY RECOMEND THE HOTEL FOR VISITORS VISITING CAIRO.

As a frequent traveler I’ve seen my fair share of good and bad hotels. I must say this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. The hotel and management are a joke! they scammed me for more money and forced me into a position of paying twice. As a foreign traveller my hands were tired and was left with other option but to pay. I will never stay at this hotel again and further more will never stay at Sofitel due to the appalling treatment whilst at my stay. Sofitel hotel group you should definitely investigate the workings of this hotel! Quality wise I would rate this hotel at 3 stars, dirty outdated rooms and bad food. Having visited other hotels in Cairo for dinner I would recommend staying elsewhere near by. The hotel quality in Cairo is very good you’ll easily find a way better hotel close by for cheaper, but avoid this place! Don’t waste your money by staying here, unless you at to be scammed for more cash and always use your credit card. Upper management should be appalled and Sofitel should be embarrassed by the level of service this chain provided. The apple has fallen very far from the tree !! If you want a relaxing carefree scamless avoid this hotel, there are plenty of good hotels near by this location and with better amenities which are cheaper and you won’t get scammed. Don’t fall for the trap, and key an eye on your credit card statements!
