Worst Ibis ever, service is a shame

40 minutes for a check-in... which I had already done on their website. Service is not comparable with the one in Europe, where people know what they are doing. The lady who helped us had no clue at all of what she was doing... Asked for a room far away from lifts, got a room in front of a lift. I was not seeking luxury, not seeking amenities, just wanted a quiet night. Seems it's asking too much in this hotel. I reserved the room with my points, she did not know what to make me pay, I had to calculate the exchange rate for her... And yet she used the wrong credit card. A real disaster, really awful experience. Not coming back to this place anytime soon, for the price it costed us, it's not reasonable. Avoid this garbage.

Just across the street from the airport through a the walking bridge you can find this Ibis, the tallest building in the neighbourhood and most convenient for a number of reasons. Whether all you need is some good sleep before flying the next day, the purpose is to hit the road towards the coastline (Santos) or another, the Ibis standard shall be met here. Last refurbishment was some years ago and rooms need a new one urgently, for some furniture slowly wears off. Breakfast ist more complete than in some Mercures in the city, internet works fine and manager Vagner can always be counted upon for any urgency, always most understanding to guests' needs.

The desk reception did not accept my accor card as ID nor did they welcomed me as an associated member. The parking space below the building is not included in the bill, you need to pay separately, so it is not convinient.

I had always been 'dating' this hotel and the opportunity came up to finally stay there as a stopover in São Paulo, it's extremely practical for that: just cross the bridge from Congonhas airport and walk around the block. Rooms are not all in the typical Ibis standard, there are larger rooms for families of four, but they can only be booked on the ALL Accor page. Breakfast during the pandemic is in the reverse system, which means buffet is there but get to be served instead of serving yourself. It's not the best hotel to discover São Paulo as a tourist but very practical for very short visits.

In the winter season, there's no hot air inside the room. If you want a blanket, you need go downstairs to the reception to get one. In the morning I was waiting for my shirts. After long time I called the reception. They said I have to go downstairs again to pickup my shirts because they don't send it to your room. They staff are nice but the management... Too bad. Also I asked for another towel because there's only one in the room. They said I have to go to the reception again to get it. Too bad.
