Not what I expected from IBIS.

At start the hotel seem fine and personnel were friendly. The room was a bit outdated, there are no sockets for mobile charging near the bed as on other IBIS. The hair dryer looks from a trip back to the past (60's or 70's style). The pillows are very flat and is hard to sleep with them, we order 2 more but they had only one :( . I had an emergency and needed to leave early, I was doing check out around 13:00. The previous day I paid for breakfast for me and my wife for next morning, of course I was not able to enjoy it as I spent one night less. I asked for a late check out and refund for the breakfast, management said no. When we left no manager was on site, it was a holiday so I could not explain my ordeal. Overall experience was negative and will not recommend it. There are other alternatives, please look for them.

I was at The Ibis Stare Miasto three weeks ago for leisure and I had a very nice stay there! Everything was fine , the reception staff were fantastic, very cordial and professional always willing to help me out with everything I needed, cozy and comfy rooms with quite new furniture, , and extremely clean ; I really enjoyed breakfast with a great variety of salted and sweet food and I would say it was one of the best I had during my travels all over Europe ! The location is pretty close to the Old town, just a 20 minutes walking or you can choose public transport instead, like the bus number 116 ; if you're planning to go to the new town where you can find the Building of science and culture you can catch the trams number 18 or 15 , just beside the hotel entrance. Public transport always on time and very clean , with ticket machines inside where you can get your tickets even paying by card , Polish people are extremely friendly and ready to help you out on the street if you're asking for directions or anything else ( younger people speak English quite well but even if someone doesn't understand your language he or she will surelly try to help you somehow!!, cheap and good food , pretty clean and new roads everywhere I went ) .. Awesome stay ! And the hotel is highly recommended, you won't be disappointed !! Greetings from Rome, Italy and thanks again to the Ibis staff for being so cordial, polite and helpful , especially the girl at the check in whom I don't know the name of....

Good location near public transport. Around 15 minutes to walk to the old town and easy to get to other places in the city centre. There is a Caffè Nero nearby and a bakery opposite if you don’t want breakfast in the hotel. Otherwise, not too many eating options in the immediate vicinity. The room is basic but has decent facilities- space to hang clothes and store bags, tv, kettle with mugs and some tea/coffee, hairdryer, carafe to fill water from a dispenser in the corridor. Probably the only thing missing is hand towels which is typical in an Ibis. For the price you can’t really complain.

I had a bright, clean and airy room which ticked all the boxes (apart maybe for a more conveniently placed power socket). It overlooked the main street, which I had requested, but wasn't noisy at all. Breakfast was plentiful with some nice local options, and reception personnel were very helpful with local advice and booking a taxi. The hotel was within easy walking distance of POLIN and the Old Town, where there were many eatery options. I thought it good value and would happily stay there again.
