Secure carparking, reasonable room rates, convenient for the Excel. We found the room very slightly tired but absolutely fine for the price. Bed was v comfortable. Easy check in. Didn't have breakfast as it's v expensive. Will stay again.

Unfortunately not great for the money paid £515 for two nights (family room). Upon returning from event at excel we had no power which appreciated is nobody’s fault however it took over an hour for it to be fixed. Phone calls to Reception went unanswered meaning had to take child back down to reception to report. Eventually got to bed at midnight. No offer of alternative room only “just wait in the bar” which with a tired child at nearly midnight nobody wants! Housekeeping poor - tired, old bobbled bed linen and tea/coffee not replenished & cups not replaced leaving our used cups in situ. Disgusting white splashes on bathroom wall opposite toilet (ewwwww) not cleaned leaving me feeling quite sick. Surprised breakfast bit included for £500+ bit I guess kids go free so can’t complain. Service in bar/restaurant poor: sullen waiting staff although food was ok but bar ran out if orange juice at 7pm!

Good location for ExCel, O2 and London City Airport with easy access via the Elizabeth Line. Excellent Executive Room - very spacious and comfortable, with good facilities by and amenities. Small but good restaurant where Klea looked after us very well.

Comfortable bed, nice spacious family room. Generally quiet. BUT... 7th room under the fitness area = boom of someone on a treadmill until 10pm, starting again at 6am. Sort out your acoustic flooring please... No information about breakfast, indeed very little information about anything in the room and hard to find on the website... So we opted to skip breakfast as it wasn't included in our rate. Good to have a nice late 12noon check out though! Fitness suite is odd. Lockers and a single shower... But the shower is open to the locker area so no privacy, no bench... So how they expect you to change in there?! V odd. Thankfully it was empty when I went. Also the steam room wasn't working, and there was no sign or warning at reception about this. You have to call reception for a bath/shower mat! Weird electric obscuring glass between shower and bed. Your can still clearly see someone's silhouette so if you were hoping for privacy you wouldn't get it! Second bed in a family room made up as a double...odd decision. We called and asked for it to be made into two singles. After an age they brought some extra bedding, but didn't offer to split the beds and remake it.

For the steam room and sauna, these are on a timer for safety and energy efficiency reasons, and guests are required to request for them to be turned on in advance. Excellent. Great location on the water, with fresh air and no major road nearby, so very quiet. Bed comfy, room spacious, excellent cleanliness. I like all Novotels for their good standard, but this one is particularly lovely - only 15 mins from Tottenham Court Road on the Elizabeth line, and the waterside location is so special. This was my third visit, and I'll be back.
