This hotel has nice rooms and great common areas. The kids loved the pool. The location is just outside walking distance from the historic downtown. The fold-out bed they set up for the kids was quite uncomfortable and could use some thicker padding.

The standard of this place is not comparable to another Novotel in Cracow (and that what it should be). Rooms with squicky beds, non-functioning lights, the breakfast room with absolutely no capacity matching the number of rooms - you have to stand and wait for your breakfast and coffee for 10' or more. This is unacceptable. But the best of it: no conditioner! The hotel changed their amenities to Rituals which would be great only if they did not save on the conditioner. My female friends with long hair were devastated - without a conditioner that has been present in all the hotels in at least last 30 years worldwide they simply could not comb their hair. So it is a semblance of a progress when you fake-upgrade but take away a product that is absolutely expected in a 4**** hotel. Even better: every day my friends demanded a conditioner at the desk. And they got a small bottle of Rituals produce, always with a remark "oooh, I need to go and see... oh, yes, we have one sample, but it is our last one". For fun we tried that many times and it repeated in the loop ("oh, it the last one..."), so it was clear that the management trained their desk people basically to lie (as they had the produce in the back office but just did not want to give tit to the clients). Unbelievable. Once they actually did run out of it and offered us some makes that were taken from other hotels... I don't even know how to comment on that. Poor restaurant (again, nothing to compete with another Novotel). Service and desk-people basically very nice but it's still too little for the expected standart. Never again.

Not deserving 4-star rating. Which 4-star hotel that you know of, has no one to deliver essential items to the room? Staff was also rude. We needed non-slippery shower mat, the staff asked us to go down to pick it up even though it was only 10 pm, not 2am. Because of potential language barrier, I wanted to make sure that they do have the right mat before I go down. The front desk lady was not willing describe the mat that they have, “what material?”, “size?”, she said “I don’t know,” “regular size.” What is “regular size?” She was so rude and could not be bothered. There was only 2 sheets of facial tissues when we first entered, the housekeeping staff should have replaced it. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. Definitely not a 4-star, more like 2-star.

Early march this year we've been in Krakow and the hotel were we stayed is the Novotel Krakow City West. The room was spacious and very clean , the bed comfortable , air conditioning /heating (this time the AC worked as heating due to the outside temperatures) was working really well. The room had also a sofa bed - not needed for the 2 of us - but it was there in case it was needed. The bathroom was also very clean with a walk-in shower - so really nothing to complain from that perspective. Breakfast - very good choices in the morning - a lot polish and international choices were available - tasty and plenty. Parking lot is generous in size - if you arrive with your own car it should not be a problem to find a place to park. The Novo 2 (square) bar in the lobby had a good selection of drinks - so the options were there should feel like having a drink Also the restaurant with a good selection of Polish and international dishes - we've ate there too and nothing to complain with a very good price to quality ratio. Bar, restaurant and front desk staff very kind and helpful. Overall a very good hotel - from my perspective - if you are looking for a place to stay in Krakow I do recommend the Novotel Krakow City West.

Horrible dinner experience. Sunday evening family dinner food turned became a total disappointment. Dumplings on the plate from kids menu were cold and dry, lonely in the plate as if the cook (can’t call hims a chef) was greedy to place a couple veggies to disguise his failure. The linguine with shrimp were cold, with some shrimp and a nasty sauce aftertaste. Burger with fries were ruined by dry cold patties and a gallon of greasy cheap mayo sauce to hide the miserable skills of the cook. Still feel the nasty taste 30 mins after. The fries were so few, as if the waiter helped himself to a third while serving. Overall a total fail story for a price that would bring a much better experience in Krakow. Do not bother!
