Beautiful Hotel, But Disappointing Hot Tub Experience

We booked the luxury suite with a hot tub as a special treat to end our holiday in Italy. The room itself was lovely—beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and the bed was large and comfortable (though a bit firmer than we prefer). The bathroom was also very nice, with a great shower, bathrobes, and slippers provided. We were especially looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of prosecco after long days exploring Rome. Unfortunately, this part of our stay was a major disappointment. • Day 1: The hot tub wouldn’t start. It took three different staff members before the issue was resolved. • Day 2: We returned to find the tub had been emptied. As we refilled it, it suddenly turned on and splashed water everywhere. We couldn’t turn it off and had to call reception again. • Day 3: The tub didn’t work at all. We called reception and asked for the manager. After waiting 45 minutes, we were told he was in a meeting. We eventually went to reception ourselves, and the manager reluctantly came out. We paid a premium for this suite and were really looking forward to a bit of luxury to end our trip. Sadly, the repeated issues with the hot tub and the lack of timely support left us feeling stressed rather than relaxed. It’s a real shame, because the hotel grounds are beautiful and most of the staff were lovely—especially Giuseppe, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout. Thank you, Giuseppe! Unfortunately, based on this experience, we wouldn’t choose to return.

Rome Sightseeing hotel choice

Fabulous City Break hotel, located approximately 7 minute walk from Metro Line B stop. Chosen after research for a City hotel a little removed from the noise of Rome! Would thoroughly recommend the Deluxe room with Jacuzzi and balcony. Good food - both breakfast and evening meal (only eat in hotel on one night due to torrential rain but very glad we did!)

Terrible-never again!

Stayed here before. This time 4 nights with breakfast. Was very much disappointed-expected much, much more for 300 Euro/night and as Gold member with more than 40 Accor stays per year. - Checkin/ Checkout extremely complicated, they don’t care you traveled 24+ hours. Not welcoming. - Hotel has still no reception, which means you have to carry your luggage down/up several stairs without help. No elevator. - The “reception” is simply a desk in front of the bar. - No upgrade as gold member. Room was tiny. - No water bottle as gold member. - Welcome drink as gold member tiny. - Reception never picks up the phone. - Room not cleaned one time. - Tea in room not provided. - Breakfast ok but too sweet. - Dry cleaning clothes messes up. Charging 300 Euro/night for this is a rip off! And it is far outside the city centre. You spend 25 Euro to get to the city centre. Why am I still staying with Accor? More expensive than competitors and no real advantages! NEVER again this place!
