Really disappointed with my stay-- to have COLD showers for two days both mornings and be told the response by the front desk for "taking care of it" was to make me not pay the urban experience fee felt cheap and honestly really insufficient for entirely subpar experience.

As a Diamond member, I have stayed at many Sofitels all over the world. I can say without hesitation that the Washington DC Lafayette Square Sofitel is my first choice when visiting the USA. While the Art Deco venue is superb, it is the excellent, friendly staff makes all the difference. I look forward to my next stay.

This hotel is within about 2 blocks from the white house . They also close to all big tour bus which is in front of the Hotel Willard. The bed is extremely conformable. The service is excellent . Even during the day time they light up the fire pit for us. The view was not good which was fine by me but it is very quiet. I was on the eleven floor. I tried the restaurant downstairs and the food was very good. You are within one block of a place called baguette which we went for breakfast and took a sandwich to bring to the airport . They also close to the restaurant Old Ebbitt which the oldest Saloon but make sure you make reservation. Overall I would return in a heart beat because of the location and comfortable beds .
