Hotel ibis Guimaraes Centro 2 gwiazdki

This is a small and well-managed hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms (and effective sound-proofing in rooms against external traffic noise in day-time). The staff were very pleasant and most helpful. Breakfasts were also very good. Close to the town centre, we enjoyed five days here and found more to do and see than in nearby Braga.. The bus station is nearby with frequent services to nearby towns, including Porto Airport (50 minutes away).

My wife and I travelled with our dog, and were made to feel very welcome by all the staff we came into contact with. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. The location was excellent, close to the historic town

Great for proximity to shopping. A pleasant walk takes you in a short time, the historical center of Guimarães, with many nice restaurants and bars in the summer afternoon. Friendly staff in attendance.

My travel was in 2014 September and I stayed in Guimarães up to October. It was a very effective trip, much because the wellness in the hotel was promoted by the staff. I worked many time in the room, developing a data work of my research.

Air conditioned not working and after asking reception about it (that confirmed that the air conditioned has broken and asking for a heater I was ignored. 50min later I called the reception that answered "sorry we don't have a heater!". Whatever... I like the hotel and have been there for more than 10 times with very good service. Just for the records...

For a budget hotel the beds are very comfortable and you can walk from the train station. It’s a short walk into the city centre & restaurants nearby Pleasant smoking area/garden direct off from the bar/café area Friendly English speaking staff, perfectly OK for a short stay.

Well located. Efficient, very kind and helpful front desk staff who went out of their way to be of assistance. Good value for money. Within easy walking distance of the historic parts of the old town. Would certainly use again.

As expected for an Ibis. Clean comfortable accommodation and just a short walk to town interesting town centre. Good pleasant service and staff. Shortcomings are the parking which is very limited and difficult public parking nearby. Also a hot choice for breakfast would have been nice.

I don't understand why have a Big Screen and a Data Show in the dinning room. And there we have only one dinning room. Twice I arrive there to eat a snack, or a tea quietly and there were a group of people looking football and other kind of sports on TV.

Very well located and nice place to stay . Only issue is that they do not have English Breakfast so we need to move out in morning to eat . It is needed to be better dining area and good breakfast and dinner so that we can order in room too . Rooms need to have at least some tea / coffee and complementary water so that Guest can have some thing in room

This hotel is in at walking distance from the old city center (5 to 10 minutes). Very clean rooms and the available breakfast is OK. Friendly staff is there to help you with your questions in fluent English. There is an elevator and access for wheelchairs. Parking is in front of the entrance and can be a little bit limited (it fills-up fast sometimes). Location is good both for visiting the city and to go exploring the surrounding picturesque towns.

We are very pleased with the hotel Ibis in the city centre, we always are choosing this chain of hotels on our trips, that's why we have choosen for this Ibis hitel in Guimaraes. The only advise we can give the tourist is to look very well where they are going to eat something! We went into the chopping Mall nearby and the food was not good!!! Look for a local hotel, and also do not listen to somebody who is presenting you his restaurant when you are coming out of the hotel!!!!
