Very rude and unhelpful management

We stayed at this hole for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary after booking over the telephone and asking about our dog and other things like breakfast if that was included and the dog we was told yes everything included to get there to be told breakfast was not included and £30 for the dog was a joke when we payed over the phone to that end the management was rude and unhelpful the room was really bad plug sockets where lose the window was not secure the shower was slippery and they was reluctant to give me a shower mat and I am disabled. The carpet stunk along with the curtains the carpet looked like it been sprayed on the walls are thin we could hear every word and tv next door so not a good night's sleep especially with other ppl coming back early hours we didn't eat here we used the windmill next door food or should I say the carvery was excellent breakfast not so good this hotel does not except CASH although their site says it does so I didn't support the hotel in using the bar Cash is king ! After making a complaint by email to the area manager we still after a week still have no response when he said he will look into our booking and get back to us in a couple of days very disappointed that he can't be arsed to respond would I stay here again well my room was better in Bosnia then this so no . And also if your disabled you can't park in the bays because the staff park in them and tell you that you have to wait for them to leave on this matter I've reported to Lincoln council on this the same as a staff member Parks a motor bike in the ev charging bay not helpful this hotel really needs a big shake up

We stayed last weekend for two nights to visit family. Pros: Large carpark Convenient location Pub next-door within walking distance Reasonably priced for both nights Bed was comfortable Large bathroom Cons: Room was like a sauna No fan or air conditioning in the room Sheets weren't clean (see photo) Corridors and rooms need to be redecorated Dust in places in the room Lack of conveniently placed plug sockets One staff member welcomed my partner, spoke to him, gave information and I was completely invisible The lift is ridiculous Shower floor was slippery Not provided with a hand towel, the only small towel we had was rolled up on the shower floor Extractor fan did not work in bathroom Overall, this place can only be tolerated for a matter of hours, let alone days. Its really not great and needs major redecoration and hygiene standards increasing, I think that would make a big difference. Probably wouldn't stay again, unless I was absolutely desperate.

Beware of Bed Bugs

Friendly staff, but that’s where it ends - found large bed bugs in our room, and now a week later being home it appears they traveled home with us. Left the hotel with swollen bites that have now only multiplied and become big blisters - and the hotel decided only refunding one night of the stay was substantial for this. Not worth a cheap night if you’re going to have to replace a mattress and furniture after coming home whilst having itchy welts all over.

We stayed on Saturday evening on the 2nd floor. Check in was friendly and prompt and the bar restaurant area looked very clean and tidy. Our room, 208,was a basic offering, not much tea of coffee compared to other chain hotel companies but I guess they have their costs to consider too. There was a sofa bed in our room as well as a small television. There were shower gels and shampoo provided and a very basic hair dryer. The shower was decent and in general was £74 pounds for a night including buffet breakfast which was very nice, it was good value. We would come again. The hotel is directly behind the Windmill pub on the A46 bypass and about a 15 minutes drive from the city centre.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It's close to a Greene King (?) pub which does good food. KFC and Costas within walking distance Having stayed at Ibis' quite a lot, I would say downstairs is very nice, well equipped, free coffee 24/7, bar, food etc. However our room, albeit very clean was rather dated, one of the plug sockets was very loose. My daughter didn't want to risk using it. The bedside light on my side was working but the arm on the light was broken, so to read I had to put myself into a most uncomfortable position! The water in the very nice bathroom, was intermittent whilst we were brushing our teeth. Not a game changer obviously but even so.. Would I return to this ibis? Maybe not but it was cheap and served a purpose. The desk staff were extremely welcoming
