Excellent - worth it for the breakfast alone!

Excellent hotel, if a little dated. The room is large, well appointed, with an expansive bathroom and excellent amenities. The best part was the breakfast - now that spread is something which many hotels in the West would do well to have a look at. It's not just about baked beans and grilled tomatoes and the usual three dishes - this was a virtual smorgasbord of different flavours of the East and a few staples of the west for those palates not used to Eastern hospitality. Amazing is not a word suitable enough for this. Generous is closer.

Was really greatful that all 6 rooms booked were able to be checked in earlier as we had arrived in Beijing at 7 plus in the morning. As a Accor gold member, my room was upgraded to a suite, which I really appreciated. Hotel was 2 junctions away from WangFuJing walking street, which meant, really well located. Nearby Fobidden city, Tian An Men, and many Hutongs(Old Street of Beijung). Breakfast was ok, but everyday same things was served. Imagine we had to stay another 4 nights after this stay, where we had gone to Mutianyu Great Wall, where we stayed one night in one of the homestay. There's a French restaurant and also Japanese and Chinese restaurants within the hotel premises, which is good too.

Novotel Beijing Peace shines when it comes to location, as it's located in a very pleasant neighbourhood with major shopping malls and lots of restaurants. Besides, we really enjoyed Novotel Beijing Peace's extensive breakfast buffet. Most other amenities of the hotel feel dated, though. Our room was clean, but felt outdated and it was also quite small. Besides, we weren't impressed with service at reception. We are Accor Gold Members, but this wasn't acknowledged and check-in seemed rushed. Overall, we didn't feel the warm welcome we usually experience when staying at a Novotel property.

Dirty hotel

This hotel is a total waste of money. I have traveled around the world. The room I got in this hotel was the dirtiest room I’ve gotten in my past 27 years of traveling. It’s a disgrace.

Mold and mildew hotel .. no star

I was just at this hotel for 3 days in October and it was the worst hotel I ever stay in China. Novotel bought the property behind and attached to this hotel to extend their property. They added a hallway connected the building and they did not renovated the building. That old building is musty, moldy and has a very bad smell. Any one that has asthma should not stay at this hotel. There is mold under the faucet upon checking into the room and the locks on the door was broken and the the heating could not be adjusted. This is not a 4 but a no star. This building need to be torn down wall to wall. Upon leaving hotel they were tearing a part of a wall that had mold. Do not stay at this hotel.
