I was offered a room that was not cleaned. Dirty bedding and the room was dirty. Requested to be moved. It just felt as if there was no adequate checking of rooms it was really disappointing to find myself in such a place after paying so much

1. At check in I was told there's no booking made, yet a voucher was sent. The front desk staff were not very helpful. I had to show them my email confirmation with the voucher before they found the voucher on their system. Apparently the system is not working. This is a serious problem for us as travel agents. Please address urgently. 2. Room was not ready yet I got to the hotel at about 3pm. Lady was still sorting out bedding. Room was disgusting. I had to sanitize and clean the bathroom. Very dusty and mirror in bathroom was extremely appalling. I now understand why our travelers refuse to stay at the hotel. 3. Kitchenette did not have dishes. Had to request this. Took time for it to arrive. 4. Requested ironing board and iron. It was broken. 5. Carpets are disgusting. Extremely dirty. Room spells bad. Had to spray room spray to manage the one night. 6. Floors were dirty. 7. Microwave did not work properly. 8. At breakfast, staff was no where to be seen. I had to call out to them in the kitchen before getting some assistance. Staff were extremely noisy during breakfast. Had to ask them to be quiet as other guests were in the dining room. They still did not listen and carried on with no care in the world. Absolutely poor management of the kitchen staff. Food was cold. People were not at their stations. It is really sad that the hotel has let itself go. No one seems to take pride in maintaining the ethos of the place any longer. I truly am disappointed and could not stay another night yet I needed a place for the week. Asked for hotel management to call me and no one called to date. Personally i will never stay at the hotel again until huge changes are made. From our company, I will use the hotel only if there is no other hotel available in the area. Extremely poor service since the last time I stayed at the property. Needs major attention to everything.

When checking in the price that we had to pay differ from what we received when we did the booking and had to be rectified. The room was dirty, the curtain rail was loose and hanging. The balcony was dirty and full of leaves. You cannot sit on the couch (dirty). The room was definitely not prepared for visitors. When we requested some items the staff was rude. We have stayed at this hotel often, but will not return

Missing picture frames bearable but not the lack of proper cleaning

Missing wall pictures yet mounting fixtures remaining on the wall made me uncomfortable. But the worse thing was the poor state of hygiene. There carpet has not had a cleaning in a very long time and I could not bear to walk bare footed on it. Touching the chairs was traumatic when my fingers got stuck in the grease. The bath was hard to look at and certainly was not used on this account. I think this is enough already, let I offend the delicate reader.

I enjoy the privacy of the rooms. The rooms are very specious and the reception offers great seating locations which is great for socializing. The pool area is great as well and the breakfast is lovely. The staff was super friendly as well and made my stay more comfortable.

This was our first booking at the hotel but we were very disappointed by the reception we got. The room 519 which we were allocated leaves a lot to be desired, it was terrible filthy dirty, in the bathroom there were cobwebs which is a sign of poorly cleaned room, all window blinds were dirty, the verendar floor had not been attended to, and to top it all both air conditioners were non functional. It was really a shocking experience, especially at this time of the Covid-19 Pandemic, where excellent health care must be a priority. We called the reception and requested an explanation to all of the above, we were told that all the house attendants have already knocked off and they could attend to the issue the next day. We were however relocated another room 209, which was at least better cleaned compared to 519. Our suggestion/request is, could Management take upon themselves to make sure that at least in all the rooms there are spot checks, before allocating to clients. In this new normal we are all navigating through, at least Sanitizers be readily available in each room.

First disclaimer. We were supposed to stay here in April. Hotel was closed due to covid. Took me few months to get my money back, but it finally happened. So I was in contact with the GM before we checked-in this time. Well....so all should have gone smoothly for a Gold Member. Last time I stay her was some 8-10 years ago. On check-in, zero recognition as a Gold Member. I had to call the GM to explain to her about the welcome drink vouchers. Once in the room, zero note or welcome from management. Next, the towels are filthy. They are simply grey and years old. Next...try to get your drink at the bar. They have wine, but not a decent wine glass in view. Look like the GM never checked this place after the lock down! Next, the swimming pool is even more dirty than the towels...had a look....but no thanks! Disgrace! We left at 4.30am....went to pick up my invoice. This is a 24 hours hotel....but nobody in reception beside a cute cat for a good 10 minutes. We left! Next stay, after the Friday night stay, her we are back on Sunday night. Nice staff at reception....but this time no towels in room...and pillow cases are disgusting! I wrote an email to GM Friday evening. We were in hotel from Sunday evening till Monday morning 10.45am...guess what...got a reply around 4pm on Monday. Maybe the GM is just a part time one, or she is never involved in the property! This place is not even the level of a budget Ibis. But I personally have more issues with properly none competent or let's put is simply...non-existant management! Avoid this place!

When I received your email, I had an emergency at the hotel and could not attend to your problem immediately. I did reply to your email in the afternoon explaining to you that we are attend to and resolving your problems. You mentioned you did not get your refund in time - when you contacted us in April, I advised you by email that we did not have access to the hotel and systems as we were on lock down. Once we were allowed to travel, we immediately refunded your account. I was in continuous contact you with advising you of the situation. I will take your suggestions on board in being a better manager. Regards

If travelling as a family of 3 and above, self-catering hotel apartments at Mecure hotel are a good value in the area. Although we booked a 2x 4 sleeper units (2 bedrooms), there was not enough crockery for the booked guests in both units. This was however not an issue for us as we travel with our own crockery and cuttlery. A street across Ilanga shopping Mall. Unit 600 is adjuscent the mall delivery dock so the noise from the delivery trucks early hours (from 05:00am) of the morning can be a nuisance. Room cleanliness is okay but can be better. The couches had a stinch, the dining chairs had visible stains that require attention. The linen was clean. Overall, okay but with room for improvement in terms of maintaining hygiene.

I booked online and checked in online where it stated that "all you have to do is show up and pick the room card". When I did arrive, went to reception whereby was requested to provide all the information again. Apparently in South Africa credit card discounts must be done in front of the guest(?!). Requested a Junior Suite with two beds and got with one bed...
