We Always Look Forward to Returning to Pullman Paris in Bercy

We have always loved staying at the Pullman Paris in Bercy. It's outside the craziness of the city, but easily accessible by metro. The breakfast is fantastic as is the service. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. While we've stayed many times previously, this was our first time staying as a family. We enjoyed the use of the pool. I was surprised at the beautiful spa amenities - I can't believe I didn't use these on earlier visits! Our nine-year-old appreciated the ping-pong tables. We also love to explore the restaurants and stores in Bercy. We always reserve one evening for that slower-paced shopping and dining experience.

Duplex room Sewage OR Broken AC, the choice is yours

We booked this short break choosing one of the pricier room options, thinking our children will be safe here while we celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately this is not the case. Our first night was in DUPLEX ROOM 1003 which smells like sewage. Unhygienic and unsafe for my newborn and toddler. The air conditioning was not turned on the first night, so we asked for a technician who came and made it work, however this heightened the sewage smell which we thought would have gone away with the air con. On querying this the following day, we were made aware that they gave this room KNOWING that it had an unsanitary and unhygienic odour. We were eventually offered another room this evening after complaining a second time to the reception team. They sent us to DUPLEX ROOM 1011. Imagine, packing and unpacking all the children’s items and ruining their bedtime because of these untimely room changes but of course my babies safety comes first, I do not want them smelling foul odours, You think it couldn’t get more dangerous but it does. The bedroom air conditioning doesn’t work at all in the upper floor and is stifling hot in basic 19 degrees temperature. I am scared to think how families are expected to stay in such rooms in higher temperatures. When I called the reception extremely upset, to ask why the AC was not working and if they could fix it, they said our original room has already been changed and the AC technician cannot do anything as this is the way the broken AC works in DUPLEX ROOM 1011 Their “solution” is a very basic fan that blows hot air on my newborn. In short, I have paid a lot of money for either a sewage smelling room for my children to breathe in or a burning hot room for them to roast in. No apology, nothing. This is what they do here. I wish we could leave on just our second night here and hate that we are sadly here for another 2 nights. In addition we were expecting more modern rooms based on the pictures, but instead some aspects look cheap and tired e.g, the internal doors and frayed carpet. Also, the restaurant food was very basic for what we would expect in Paris, and despite multiple reminders that we are staying in Paris for my birthday, the reception hadn’t informed the restaurant so my husband had to ask them to arrange something special at short notice. In short the hotel and staff here likes to put babies and families in disgusting rooms and dangerous conditions. If you love your children and are a family with a baby or toddler. Please do not come here!!! I literally stopped bothering leaving reviews via tripadvisor but I reset my password to help everyone else make better choices. I do not wish any family with small children to have to go through this treatment.

From check in to check out, I really enjoyed my stay at Pullman Bercy. The location is excellent in the lovely neighborhood of Bercy and right next to Bercy Village. There are parks, restaurants, mini market (Carrefour) and Metro station all within 5 minutes' walk. At nights there is plenty to do, eat or just go for a walk. I slept the best as the bed was most comfortable. My room was clean, large with good view, stocked room and bathroom. Great breakfast every morning with many healthy choices. The main restaurant also offers something for everyone, from Sandwiches to special gourmet main course meals. The service in this hotel is simply impeccable along with very helpful staff. During my stay I had the pleasure to meet Alex at front desk, whom helped and booked few tours during our stay in Paris. Everyone during my 4 days stay was simply happy to help and always with a genuine smile. Will revisit again if in Paris.

We stayed at the Pullman Bercy seven years ago with our two kids and had a great experience. Therefore I booked the hotel again for our trip to Paris with the kids last week. We had a marvellous time. All staff members were super friendly, competent and very welcoming. Except one person who checked us in at our arrival at 14:45 pm at the hotel. The receptionist didn't even say Hello and she was obviously having a bad day. She just asked for the credit card and the deposit of 1000 Euros, afterwards she told me that the room wasn't ready. I was a bit surprised and asked when it will be ready. She answered that she has no idea and that I cannot expect the room to be ready, the hotel doesn't guarantee the check in time at 2pm. After 6 hours of journey ( which I told her, she didn't seem to care at all) we were quite exhausted and we went to the Bercy Village to have a rest, drinks and some nice food. This was the only negative incident at the hotel. All other staff members were always attentive and just great. The rooms were just wonderful with a magnificent view. The following days we avoided the unfriendly receptionist and everything was fine. We even received an upgrade to a higher suite category for the last night, which was just perfect and made our stay in Paris an unforgettable experience again.
