Comfortable hotel at a bargain price.

We wanted a place to sleep near Lakeside & since the price was so inexpensive, we decided to try the Ibis. The surrounding area isn’t at all fancy, but the hotel itself has everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful (You can send a WhatsApp if you need anything and they answer very promptly) The beds were very comfortable and the rooms clean and functional. There were tiny niggles; no bin in the bedroom, curtains that needed a wash, but overall for the price paid, the stay was an absolute bargain.

We had room 201. On arrival, there was a very unpleasant odour, which lingered throughout our visit. (On night). Opening the Windows did not help. At a guess, I'd say there's a problem with sewage. Apart from that, the room and shower were spacious and the sound proofing is excellent. However, the bed was extremely hard. My husband likes a firm mattress, but this went way beyond firm, it was no better than sleeping on the floor. Breakfast would've been nice, had it not been stone cold. We went to have breakfast at around 9 am. Plenty to choose from, but the hot food containers have no covers/lids. Little surprise that the Sausage, eggs and bacon were cold. What a waste! In all, this hotel needs a lot of improvement.
