A really good budget hotel

Firstly I would like to say communication from the hotel is great. I was unfortunate enough to have my easyJet flight cancelled, so was a day and a half late arriving. I had no concerns about my room due to clear communication from the hotel. Apart from that it is a good example of a budget hotel - clean, fairly comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Great location too - almost on the seafront.

Great clean rooms, very nice staff. From the big room a view to the sea. The tram is in front of the hotel and takes a couple of minutes to get tov the center. There is a good bakery downstairs with tasty sandwiches. Two things I would improve is a closet to store the clothes and a towel for hands and face.

Stayed here for 3nights. Clean room, ok breakfast, location wise is smack in between airport and the old town. Nothing much around the hotel but there is a carrefour city about 5minutes walk and a boulangerie opposite of the hotel. Tram station is just right in front for the hotel, so getting around is easy. Overall, great stay. Recommended.

For more than five years, my family and I have been returning to the Ibis Budget Nice Californie Lenval, and every stay has been a delightful experience! The hotel's location is simply perfect, just steps away from the Promenade des Anglais and conveniently close to the tram, making getting around Nice effortless. The rooms are basic yet spotless. During the summer months, the air conditioning is a welcome relief, and the firm, comfortable bedding is ideal for my back. What we particularly appreciate is the consistently warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Regardless of the time of year or how busy it gets, they are always attentive and ready to help, which makes each stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the underground parking just across the street is incredibly convenient for those traveling by car. Whether it’s for a quick beach getaway, a stopover during a longer journey, or a full vacation, this hotel offers excellent value for money. We’ll undoubtedly return again! As we have done many times over the years, with the same pleasure and satisfaction each time!

Overall we had a good stay at this location. It was very convenient with the tram stop right out front and the ocean one block away. The customer service was very good as well during all interactions. The negatives were the wifi was intermittent making it almost impossible to use and the air conditioning unit was terrible. It was August and very warm outside and the room wasn’t much better. It’s not the worst place I’ve stayed but I’d look elsewhere next time.
