Great for budget

Great hotel for our weekend budget. Warm comfortable rooms overlooking the Danube with a balcony. Unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside. Room large enough for my daughter and I. Spacious shower room. No tea/coffee facility in room, but unlimited use of the free coffee machine in reception. Friendly staff, pleasant reception area, through to dining room, Breakfast 6-10am. Good selection to choose from. Plenty of tables and seating areas. Clean and spacious.

Lovely hotel with a friendly staff and excellent breakfast! Cosy room and quiet area, especially in the rooms facing the back yard. The significant traffic hub Boráros tér is located right in front of the hotel, with easy access to both tram, metro and train in all directions.

Good hotel if you visit Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE)

If you want to visit Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), this is a great hotel, since the campus is within easy walking distance. If you want to visit the tourist attractions, that's a longer walk. Everything is clean and fine, and the staff is friendly and professional. There is a free 24/7 coffee/cocoa/tea machine in the lobby, which is great. If breakfast is important to you, the buffet is fine but not "wow, this is great" - it's ibis, after all; could have had fresh juices, more cereal choices, egg choices, etc. The intersection in front of the hotel is very busy, so there is no way to sleep with an open window (I did not even try), but the air conditioning is effective and provides enough white noise for a good night sleep.

Correct hotel, very good price. This is a basic ibis styles hotel, a bit below average for this brand but still OK. Very well located to explore city or reach any place. Rooms on the back are quiet. Breakfast is ok. You can have better hotels in Budapest but this should be without international brands.

Great hotel for a city break. Great location and a 3 min walk across the roads to get the tram into the city. Great basic breakfast included too. Room was lovely and clean too. We would recommend to anyone coming away for a city break to use it as a good base for exploring.
