Cool gestaltete Zimmer, alles da, was frau braucht und mit Stil! Love it! Very young, very friendly staff! Very good performance! Breakfast is plentyful and diverse! Also vegan and glutenfree options. The hotel is fantastically situated in the city.

Good value for money budget hotel

I loved staying at this hotel. I arrived a couple of hours before check-in time, after not finding the right bus stop and taking a bus and tram, and was exhausted after being up all night, but my room was available immediately. I was asked if I preferred a room on the quieter side but chose one with a balcony and a great view of the Petofi Bridge and the Danube, and it was not too noisy at all. There is no metro station nearby but the Boraros traffic hub has a bus to the city centre (including the stops for the airport shuttle) and trams to the Keleti Station (near the Arena Mall) and along the Danube. There is an Adidas outlet opposite the hotel. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. My only gripes are that there was no shower curtain and the bathroom got soaked when I took a shower (which was very good, strong water pressure). There was enough room in the shower area to put a bathtub which would have been nice. The other gripe is that the channels on the TV were not very interesting. Breakfast, included in the price, was satisfactory if not overly exciting compared to other Ibis hotels I have stayed in (no toaster, pancake machine or sliced orange and grapefruit), but they did serve fresh pineapple on my last morning there. There is a coffee/hot water machine in the lobby but no cold water.

Don’t be put off by outside appearances stop this quirky hotel in a cyclist theme is better than it looks. Made very friendly staff at check-in made an effort to allow us in early. Ask for a room with a view. Excellent comfortable bed. Breakfast was a letdown and more suitable to European tastes.

Excellent hotel with convenience to the airport. The room is very nice and the bed is just so comfy. I enjoyed the pre-arrival check in and the check out. I highly recommend this hotel. Just one thing the drainage shower was just slow so hopefully this can be fixed.

Great concept, poor experience. No air conditioning.

The hotel concept was great. Their cycling theme carried through every aspect of the building from lobby decor, a history of cycling displayed on the walls of the steairway and the cycling-specific room decorations. Yellow, the color of champions, was featured prominently. The reason for my 1 star review stems from the experience itself. We visited Budapest in early April during an unseasonable heat wave. Despite the hotel website advertising “130 air conditioned rooms”, there was no air conditioning. Opening the window to let in cooler outside air didn’t help due to the limited amount that the windows open so I went to the front desk seeking a solution. I was told the air conditioning was not turned on for the season and was given no assurance that it would be turned on during our stay. I asked if a fan may be available to at least attempt to cool our room and was told that wasn’t an option either. I then asked if there was an ice machine and was met with my third no. The room was too hot to sleep in so even though we had booked a three night stay we opted to leave after the first night to check into a different hotel that did in fact have air conditioning. Overall, although the hotel concept was great the quality was very poor and I would recommend looking elsewhere for your stay.
