Novotel Swan Valley Vines Resort 4 stelle

We had booked a two-night stay for 24th & 25th February, a free night on our Accor membership and paid accommodation on the Sunday. Pleasant welcome at reception, handed a Resort and Facilities map marked up to show the location of our room and rear carpark. Upstairs location, lucky for us a helpful guest carried our luggage to the room. Great room, Resort Room with two queen beds, balcony with table & two chairs, free wifi, large smart TV, tea/coffee making facilities, lovely ablutions area with rainhead shower and other essentials for our stay. Comfortable bed resulted in restful sleep after listening to the cacophony of bird sounds late evening and awoken with similar at dawn. The Resort has great facilities but we headed elsewhere during the day. Located too far out of the city for both of us.

We were celebrating our 24th anniversary plus my 45th birthday. Kirsty from front office looked after us and made our day special thank you so much! We will see you again i give you guys 5 star, good service and friendly staff, room clean!!!!!

Having stayed here many years ago, we travelled with another family to stay here over NYE and NYD. Resort is in a beautiful area and rooms are very comfortable. Some suggestions for improvement which drove our 2* review. Service: We rang to book the restaurant 4 days ahead and we’re advised it was fully booked. Not great but fair enough as it is NYE and we were told we could still order room service. We checked again about room service when we arrived and attempted to order dinner at 7pm (room service stated as operating until 8:30pm). No answer and repeatedly made calls before calling reception and being transferred twice and being hung up on. So not pleasant for 4 adults and 4 kids to go to bed hungry. I have no doubt this was down to the 500 tickets that had been sold to the event they had. It would have been fair if room service took 90 mins to arrive but to not focus any attention on offering this service is really not good enough. I was also left bemused when purchasing 2 x small bottles of water and a Powerade the next day and being charged $28. Even the lady sharing me said ‘f***ing extortionate isn’t it’ - again not a befitting response of a 4* resort even if I did agree with her. One the final day,my wife and her friend arrived for their 9am booking for a massage and were told that it doesn’t open until 10am on public holidays, even though we had confirmation it was 9am. We had to leave by 10am so they both had to forego the massage. Lovely pool and surrounds and breakfast was half decent if you forget the coffee. We left disappointed and expected the two days to be several steps up than what was provided.

Poor staff, cold food, not disney at all, for resort style I expected above average food and service we arrived to inexperienced staff, we proceeded to get our slop ( food) selection was poor temperature was cold, quality was below average was suppose to be Disney theme but there was a DJ playing hip hop music bearly Disney we spoke to a manager who had a care factor of 0 and brushed our complaint under the carpet and then was told there was no desert on offer but the best compensation was a tub of icecream to share between 3 people for $60 a head extremely poor would NEVER return ( we had Hurd bad reviews about this place but ignored them to be positive to give it a go for ourself looking back now we wished we would have listened to the reviews and saved our $60 ahead per person the over all cleanliness of this place was horrid there were huge cockroaches running around the dance floor, toilets no toilet paper and were stuff all over the floor, the corridor leading towards the toilet had no lighting leading to the toilet dangerous considering was a kids party, pool area glass fence didn’t look like it had been cleaned for months,

Stayed at the Vines for a family wedding & wished we had longer here. We stayed in a 3 bed room unit which was about a 10 min walk to the main hotel. The room was very well appointed with 2 bathrooms. We had a view out over the golf course driving range. There was a lovely outdoor area. The kitchen was well equipped although we didn’t really use it. The hotel itself was lovely. We ate in the restaurant, cafe & the wedding was in a function room. All meals were excellent. Given longer we would have loved to use more of the facilities apart from the driving range & mini golf that we did try. The pools looked fabulous & the golf course very enticing.
