Bit disappointed, booked a superior room but it was really basic, no desk/dressing table. Stained carpet, half eaten food in the fridge and dirty towels in the shower, shower drain loose. No bottled water in the room, tea coffee not restocked. For the money there are better hotels.

While I was on the way to Australia from London and stayed few days in this Hotel in London, our stay was really good and we are still missing service of the Novotel and their service. Thank you once again for the service. As a Accor member I always recommend Accor Hotels to my friends.

Stayed at the hotel for a single night for business. With the trains being hit and miss in the UK at the time, I contacted the hotel in advance about the possibility of parking; and they were very accommodating and helpful. As it happened I used the train in the end. Breakfast was ok; although quite minimalist, with only part of a "full english" available. The hotel is modern and well turned out and at first glance is quite well appointed. However, there were a few things that were very obviously odd: - The bathroom furniture was degraded and needed replacement - the taps looked as though they were rusty. - The toilet was in a separate room to the washbasin and shower. This is seriously unhygenic. - For the love of everything, please can UK hotels stop assuming everyone is 175cm or shorter. It makes showering virtually impossible. - There were no plug sockets near the bed at all, yet despite it being a modern hotel room; this was a major gap. - For a hotel that obviously caters to business people; there was a glaring omission of no desk in the room. This made any working relatively impossible.

I am currently staying at the hotel and am finding it a wonderful experience. Having read some of the other reviews I would say they are very unfair. The room is spotless and fit for a new born baby it’s that clean. Bed is very comfortable and the showers are to die for. Tried the bar this evening and was delighted by the service and the pizza very competitive price was delicious. The staff are totally amazing and cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was fabulous it’s not often I get up for 6.30am but there it was nice and tasty. Anything you could think of was there at hand. Tables and serving platters were being cleaned and refilled as soon as they were empty. Again, the staff were fantastic and so rushed but nothing was too much and all carried out with a smile. Am heading back to my room knowing I will be rested for work tomorrow I cannot praise the staff in the hotel highly enough. They are what makes the place.

Novotel Waterloo is one of the more competitively priced hotels around The South Bank area. However a big trade off is that its location is about 15-20 mins walk from Waterloo Station and 10 mins from nearest tube (Lambeth North). We had a Queen Superior room with a city side view that was okay although carpet was in a poor condition. Was clean overall though. Hotel staff were okay if not particularly friendly. Breakfast at £21 per adult free for kids again was okay, nothing special. For short trips to Central London you may want to look at cheaper options first like Premier Inn Waterloo located near the station.
