Mercure Лондон Бридж 4 звезды

I have stayed at Mercure London Bridge several times before this and this was the most disappointing visit. I had booked two privilege rooms for the weekend stay and on checking in I had to double check with reception that they were actually the rooms I had paid for as they seemed nothing like previous privilege rooms I have stayed in at this and other Mercure/Accor brand hotels. The bathroom was particularly grubby, including a cracked toilet seat and no body wash provided in the shower all weekend despite the claim that these rooms come with “upgraded” toiletries. The water jug of the nespresso machine in the room was also dirty and had a piece of plastic left in it. In addition, cups which were used on Friday were not cleaned or replaced during the weekend. The hotel bar also has a happy hour in the evening however when we ordered and paid for drinks even after 25 minutes the order was fulfilled and when I asked for a refund this took another 10 minutes to complete without any apology. On check out we told the receptionist we had been unhappy with the stay, again no apologies or further enquiries as to the reason for this, we were just provided with a feedback QR code! I expect so much more for Accor hotels and will certainly not return to use this Mercure London Bridge hotel. An overall disappointing experience!

Stayed the night in Mercure London Bridge for an event in London and found my stay ok. The room was spacious and offered everything I needed for a short stay, nice large bed and a wonderful rain shower. One thing I did not like was the fact I couldn’t control the room temperature as this is controlled centrally during the cold season. This meant I was very hot in the room through the night, and when opening the window I found it difficult to sleep as the road is very busy. I think this should be adjusted to allow guests the freedom to control their room temperature. I used the bar in the evening where there was plenty of choice for drinks, and I enjoyed the 2 for 1 during happy hour - but the bartender was alone which meant we had a long wait for drinks to be delivered after ordering. Breakfast the next day was plentiful, some nice options both hotel and cold.

Hvac wasn’t working in the room. The room got to 25c. If I open the window it was then too loud (street noise). Internet and bed was good. Sound proofing was excellent Shower drained slowly and stood in water. Checkin/out was a easy Bed was comfortable.

We arrived early from the airport and Albert kindly let us go to our lovely room on the top floor - we were lucky enough to have a balcony and a sunny day to enjoy it! (There is building going on around, with some daytime noise, but it didn’t bother us). Albert was extremely helpful throughout our 2 day stay. A great location for the river, Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe etc.

Lovely hotel with super comfortable beds and great friendly staff. The breakfast is good but you need to get there early at the weekends! The location is really close to the tourist sites and the south bank. Definitely a good choice for a weekend stay
