Dirty dishes out side of rooms and laundry trolleys just parked near stairwells. Work barricades everywhere.

Dear Guest We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Mercure Townsville. The hotel team are very disappointed with what you experienced during your stay. The barricades are in place for guest safety and yes they are removable as the workers still need to take items into the rooms and areas being refurbished. Re the dirty dishes we do rounds of the hotel but people do put them out at various times of the day and so you are correct they can sit there in between restaurant shifts. Re the Laundry trollies they are parked near the stairwells again for the safety of the team members who may be carrying large amounts of heavy dirty linen down to the trollies, if they were obstructing your access then yes this should not have occurred. All of your other comments will be addressed with the various teams so that we can do better in the future. We sincerely apologise for our shortcomings and will definitely share your comments with the team to ensure where possible incidents like this do not re occur in the future. Under beds extremely dirty found a used pad under bed last time we stayed we had water bottles this time none no bowls or cutlery had to buy our own for the price we paid the bowls cutlery and water bottles should have been included.

It was very confronting reading your comments especially regarding the items foun under your ned I will personally raise this with the housekeeping team as this is totally unacceptable and can only sincerely apologise for you experiencing this. Obviously further training and supervision will be required moving forward. As we do not have cooking facilities in most of our rooms, we then do not supply bowls or cutlery for our guest. For rooms with microwaves, we do supply these, but not water bottles. Our air con was dripping all night. Other than that. Love satying here, but it needs some tlc

Unfortuneatly the room i was giving was not in the best shape could smell the mould on entering bathroom grout was badly affected with mould cobwebs on roof in main area was covered with Gnats and the blackout curtains are great but lights from garden all night came under main door and also through the bathroom window so made room quite light to try and sleep and on a business trip this was quite tiring

It's good, however the A/C is noisy, the sink didn't drain well. It also would be helpfull if there was body lotion as well to use.
