Great facility, comfortable bed, my stay would have been perfect except for all the ants that got into everything including the bed

Came for 8 nights, rooms were comfortable but tired looking. Service was amazing, unfortunately the breakfast hot food wasn’t, ended up just having toast each morning. Lunches and dinners were hot. The catered part of our stay was fine. There was a particular staff member I would like to praise and that was Siabhon (please excuse the spelling). The rest of the restaurant and bar staff were also above average in their service.

I arrived to find the room smaller than picture shower. The desk had chunks missing out of it and my jumper kept snagging on it. The chairs at the desk were scratched and a bit unsteady. The had bsin in the bathroom seemed to have cracks or bad scratches on it. For the money I paid I expected a much better quality unit.

I had a short one night stay and the staff were very kind and professional. I enjoy staying at the Mercure Townsville. I just have one negative thing to say about the bathroom vanity tap... Everytime that I used the tap it would spray out of the sink and on me. Not a lot of water, but then I had to use very little water pressure to ensure I didn't get sprayed.

Although the rooms are somewhat tired & small, the food was outstanding, the staff at the Restuarant were great, especially Siobhan (head waitress/manger?), no one could ask for a more nicer and friendlier person, she is a credit to the hotel.

Generally good experience, clean and tidy units. But resort getting bit tired. Very disappointed with the Buffet Breakfast. It was cold and greasy, not very good value for money.

Dated rooms. 2 guests were bitten by a bug of some sort, not mosquitoes. In their beds.

Sandra I have only been at the property for 5 weeks, however am not aware of any issues as to why the pool could not be accessed? Unfortunately being in North Queensland and in a tropical climate, we do have a lot to deal with in the outdoors; I hope they were not painful. We have been coming to Townsville for 13 years & have stayed at the Mercure, sometimes twice a year. We have always always stayed in a Deluxe room & they still have the same crappy TV, this year our room was #186. Also the lighting needs to be improved leading into the resort. Overall our experience was good, we are Platinum Members

I'm away for weeks on end for business and the staff at the Mercure made me feel like home. Great staff at reception and restaurant, the level of inclusivity was 10/10..Management have got the level of interaction between staff and customers very well balanced.

Location is very handy to most of Townsville. The rooms are large and very comfortable if staying more than just overnight. Parking and access is easy. The restaurant provides good quality meals in a relaxed tropical setting. Nice appropriate music playing in the background The pool area is very resort like BUT the best part really is the staff they are very very good. very welcoming but very professional as well.

A relaxing couple of days

Our room was clean with a nice decor. Bed was comfortable, but a choice of pillows would have made our sleep better. Staff were friendly and helpful at reception and in the restaurant/bar area. We dined in Celcius restaurant for dinner and breakfast whilst there. Although the menu was not extensive due to Covid restrictions, our meals were well cooked and nicely presented. We had a very enjoyable time.
