Our room was big, room and bathroom were exeptionally clean, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was very well looked after, Staff made sure that items were re-stocked and areas kept spotless clean. Breakfast catered for vegans and had heaps of healthy choices. Beeing a smal and not fancy hotel The Mercure Hotel in Würzburg Mainufer can be congratulated on the superb level of standard and service provided.

Great hotel close to city centre.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was very nice. Modern decor with huge tv and work desk. Lovely bathroom with shower over the bath. Great location across from the river and only a 10 minute walk into the Market Place. Parking was €10 per night or you could park on the road outside for free if you can find a spot. Check in staff were very friendly.

This hotel was fabulous with great location, parking onsite and awesome staff! Other perks are incredibly spacious lobby and breakfast on site (for a fee- and our favorite with so many selections it was worth the money)! Room was great and loved the accommodations.

Excellent location, air con, clean small rooms

Hotel has reliable a/c — quiet and easy to operate. Good wifi signal (but I was on the first floor). Room felt really cramped and poorly designed but stylish in look. Hard mattress, soft pillow, big screen tv with wide channel variety. Toilets also conservative with superior water pressure and hot water but shower barrier too short to prevent water spraying onto the floor. Super-slippery bath tub but holding bar present. Hand towel rungs also located lower than expected. Only a 5 minute walk to the Alte Mainbrücke (old bridge) [maybe 10 if you are slow walker]. Kind service at reception, who held onto our luggage for free while we explored the town. Make sure keycards aren’t near your mobile phones or they won’t work. Short tram ride to train station (10 mins or 4 stops on #2) or <20 min. walk. Very clean rooms/ hotel and good insulated walls — did not hear neighbours. Would pay extra to get larger room if travelling with other. Make sure you hang card on door knob to ask your room to be cleaned — this does not happen otherwise.

Dangerous bathtub/shower - beware seniors

We traveled as a family to Wurtzburg for 2 nights. It's your typical chain hotel but there were two issues for our family. 1. The shower was a danger zone. You had to climb over the tub and there wasn't much of anything to grab onto except the towel rack. It had a partial glass door on the tub so you couldn't grab that as it moved. To add to the danger, the bathtub floor was slippery. Three members of our traveling group are seniors, but even younger me felt unsafe getting in and out. 2. If you are driving a larger car like we were and are not an experienced European driver then both the surface parkade and underground parkade are not suitable. Thankfully there was a huge parking lot just across the street and down a very short way. The breakfast was very good, they had lots of variety. The room was clean, and the location was great. For dinner, we went to the beer garden across the street and it was very good. If it wasn't for the dangerous bathtub situation, I would have given this hotel 4 stars.
