Ok stay in a slightly dated and basic hotel.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel: the first time being 7 years ago. And while it was good value for money at the time, we can now safely say that there are several hotels within this price range. It must be said: other hotel chains often provide a more modern room and, above all, a larger bathroom for about the same price (or for a maximum of 20 euros more). I do not mean to say that this Ibis hotel did not meet expectations: the room is reasonably spacious (the bathroom, on the other hand, is not!), and is kept very clean. The design of the room is very spartan: it would probably make a difference to hang one or two small paintings here and there. At the end of July it was very hot in Nuremberg and we really felt sorry for the reception staff: working for so many hours in this heat (without decent air-co) must have been torture for them. All the more reason to compliment the staff on their service and friendliness. In summary, I think this is mainly a question of value for money here: if this Ibis hotel manages to keep its prices just 10 or 20 euros below its competitors, it can and will still be an attractive option for some travelers.

This hotel is perfectly located near the central station without being disturbed by the trains. Large room, tiled bathroom and nice AC. We came from a bad Ibis stay in Augsburg, this hotel was better in every way. They were though at the reception, there was no check-in before three, but we could leave our bags in a luggage room. I recommend.

PERFECT for our needs - Perfectly located close to the main train station in Nuremberg Germany (beware there is another IBIS nearby too in the old city (Altstadt) - very clean, easily accessible for someone in a wheelchair as I am - The price was excellent - The staff was welcoming and helpful - We had dinner in the old city a short walk away in the old city. The hotel is quite large but very quiet, we had a great night's sleep ready to tackle the next day - In the morming, we did not eat breakfast there instead we went to the train station because we had to fix a pb with our return tickets to Paris, but Ibis generally has a good spread. The front desk staff kindly called a taxi for us to take us to the car rental place to get the car we had already booked. If we ever come back we will definetely stay there again.

This hotel is good value. Nothing fancy just a place to sleep. Centrally located near the Bahnhof and within walking distance of the Altstadt and Christmas market. Coffee machine in the lobby has very weak coffee. Best to find a cafe with a coffee maker. Bathrooms are small but you get what you pay for. The hotel has no problems doing repairs starting at 0830 and can continue throughout the day. If you have to have a conference call from your room, it may be best to inform the front desk as the drilling may be quite loud. Notwithstanding the noise from repairs, this IBIS is consistent with other IBIS hotels that we have stayed at in Europe. Inexpensive modest accommodations.

Ibis, consistent and reliable. There is nothing that stands out about this Ibis but that’s a good thing. You know what you are getting with Ibis. The check-in was fast and efficient. The staff was competent. The room was clean and quiet. The weather was very hot on our arrival, but the room was comfortable. On the second day a front came through and the temperature dropped considerably, and the room remained comfortable, so they have the temperature within the building under control. Everything worked as it should, no failures or surprises. The location of this hotel is excellent if you want to be near the train station (there’s a below ground passage to the station nearby making it a convenient walk). It’s also close to the end of the large pedestrian section of Old Town. You can catch the trams nearby and there is a great bar at the nearby Grand Hotel. There’s another Ibis nearby (Ibis Nuremberg Altstadt) and I don’t know if the prices are comparable, but the Ibis Hauptbahnhof is only 250 meters away. There are restaurants nearby and several transportation options. Overall, this is a good location and a classic Ibis hotel. Reliable, reasonable cost and properly operated.
