Hotelrooms are old and have seen better times

The hotel is located 15 min from the city center and easy to reach with a car. The reception looks new and welcoming. The service and check-in was friendly and fast. Unfortunately the rooms are old and not in a good shape. There is a lack of sockets so that you can't charge your phone next to the bed. Also the furniture was old and had a lot of damaged signs on them. The aircon was not working properly so that it was hot during the night, even that the outside temperature wasn't that high. The toilet was ok, but again looked too used. A renovation is definitely needed. The asked price for the night was also high, so that you cannot even speak of a good price/value ratio. The breakfast was ok. The hotel won't be my first choice next time.

Comfortable well appointed bedroom, but un-inviting public areas. Better than average breakfast buffet with efficient breakfast staff. Dinner menu overpriced for what it is. Be wary on check out as the reception will take a pre-auth on your card prior to your stay which they then try to claim is a deposit and attempt to charge your card a second time for the full value of the stay rather than undertaking a completion on the pre-auth already taken - which is normal hospitality practice.

Please avoid ROOM 201 - see pictures. This hotel is in need of serious renovation ! Came in late and left early. Landing on 2nd floor is so dirty, full of holes and so stained ! Smelly, dirty room. Worn out, dirty, heavily stained carpet with cigarette burns, that was coming off the floor in certain areas ! I think this was also an upgraded room. The sofa has seen better days - soiled and burned. Didn't risk sitting on it directly, so put a towel on there first - checkout the pictures Had medicine to go in the fridge. Unfortunately I hadn't realised the fridge wasn't working until it was time to leave the following morning. Bathroom shower head was so low. I practically had to kneel down to have a shower. People smoking outside with smoke coming into the lobby. I could even smell it when I opened my window on the 2nd floor. Given the state of the room, I avoided breakfast. Checkout (just like the checkin) was lame and void of emotion. When I said the room was in poor condition, I was just handed the bill and the chap walked away... Perhaps this is why I didn't receive a survey request... so I decided to do my own. As a regular gold customer of Accor, this by far the worst stay I have experienced. Accor, you should be ashamed. Will probably get an inappropriate response if I get one... Will NOT come back !

A good Mercure on the edge of the city. Convenient location and very helpful staff. Decent plentiful breakfast. Safe secure parking in basement garage. The decor and rooms are a little tired hence the planned refurbishment- it needs it!

Staff is very polite, breakfast is OK, but rooms are old, smelly and should be renovated as soon as possible. Definitely not worth the price and pictures do not show how hotel really looks like. Wouldn't recommend.
