Booked this hotel for the night that Scotland played Switzerland in the Euros . Nice clean hotel and easily accessible from Colognes main attractions. The room was small but was fine for just one night. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Awful stay, rooms to hot and so noisy!

Dreadful stay. Check in as fine, staff friendly. However the rooms were very hot, so needed to open windows, if you do this the noise is dreadful and it goes on all night. We stayed mid week and it was like been in a nightclub, then the deliveries start, the bells keep chiming. No sleep had at all. If you close the windows the noise disappears but the heat is unbearable. Would not stay here again.

My son and I shared a twin room for a weekend as a base to meet our German friends. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English (as my German isn’t great). Check in was easy as I had done the online check in the day before. Our room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. It was small but as we used it for sleeping and showering it did the job. We paid for breakfast and there was a wide variety of options. Would recommend. Parking was €30 from Friday to Sunday and using the satnav it was easy to find. There is a lift from the car park to reception. It was a 15 minute walk into the Old Town which has plenty of bars and restaurants. We will definitely use again when we come back.

Hotel Ibis Koeln Centrum is without a doubt one of the best Ibis hotels we have been to in Germany and was a great choice to stay here on our seven day holiday as there are superb travel link's to explore Cologne and it was handy for the Christmas Market's me and my twin brother visited. Located on Neue Weyerstraße'this brilliant hotel has a very modern look and feel with nice clean compact rooms that are superb and a nice bathroom.The reception area is superb as was the dining area and the bar is 24 hours (I Think) as we came back really late some nights and is was very busy. Our room (433) was spotlessly clean with a superb bathroom and for what we paid for was excellent value for money.This is a very good hotel in an excellent area of Cologne and is easy to get to from the Tram/U-Bahn stop or Bus stop at Barbarossaplatz its just a short walk.(This is my 1st review of the Ibis Koeln Centrum). Staff were friendly and place was clean. The rooms were very small. They also suffered from the “contemporary” issue where the rooms are very style over substance with no drawers or wardrobes and very , very cramped. Also at over 100 euro a night were very overpriced. Also it might be called central but it int really as its a 10 minute tram ride. Something central should be within a 15 minute walk.
