Lovely clean room, reception and breakfast room The rooms was small but adequate for a 4 night stay. We liked the Eco scheme the hotel ran, where if you didn't request your room to be cleaned you got a free drink at the hotel bar.

Have used this Ibis a few times now. For the cost, really can't speak highly enough of this budget hotel. Always clean, excellent value for money breakfast, really friendly and helpful staff and so close to the heart of all La Rochelle has to offer. Highly recommended if looking for a budget stay...

This is a beautiful hotel located in a really convenient place. Near many historical sites. Close to eateries and bars that offer great local French cuisines. Staff very genuine and offer great advice and solutions. La Rochelle is a beautiful place, I highly recommend visiting and staying in this iBIS Hotel. Highly Recommended.

Very small room but great for one night

Really was a teeny, tiny room and sleeping in a cupboard describes it extremely well, having said that it was ideal for a quick one night stay for 2 adults, don’t think I would like to have stayed any longer as not much storage, but the storage they had was quite effective. The bed was large enough and very comfortable but as someone said, the mattress protector was very cheap quality and made the bed so very hot, also the air conditioning was not that brilliant but it had been in the high 30 at the time of our stay so may have been that the air con could not cope with the heat. We actually slept on top of the duvet, solving the problem of the hot mattress protector and used the bottom sheet as a cover. Ibis really could do with sorting this problem out as it is not ideal. We felt the hotel was in a quiet position, felt safe and we did not have any problems with noisy street noise or noisy neighbours. The shower was very good. Not a lot of street parking but we managed to get in and it felt quite safe to leave the car, worked out at €4 for 2 hours and free between the hours of 12-2 and 6pm - 9am in the morning, free all day Sunday. There is one delivery space that you can pull in at for 10 mins if dropping luggage off and if available, but bare in mind this is a one way street so you can not block it with your car for unloading purposes. The Verdun car park is quite close by, maybe a 5-10 minute walk and apparently only €1 for the day at the weekend. The day we arrived it was torrential rain so we were glad of the street parking. Did not have breakfast as lots of bars and boulangeries nearby. Check in and out was 12pm. The staff were friendly and helpful, they also have luggage storage. One tip, just be careful with travel adaptors, the charging points are sort of upside down behind a kind of light baffle affair and very easy to unplug your devise and leave the adaptor behind….anyone wanting one you will find ours in room 107!

Ibis hotel gave us a lot of unexpected experiences because our hotel room was like a cell. We didn't have any space to go, there was only a bed and a really small bathroom. In the shower we found hairs from the person before of us. They put us in the second floor and I don't know if the rooms were better upstairs but I don't suggest taking the risk.

Good evening Sir or Madam J2967XD, I'm so surprised to read you review about Our IBIS Hotel because at this time, we cannot at all propose to you the second floor. The reason is very simple : we have only ONE floor avaiable because we are under construction since the 1st of OCTOBER 2022... So it should have been difficult for us to propose you the second floor for an alternative solution :) So please, let us know your name and surname because I don't find "J2967XD" in my Cardex. At the same time, I will denounce this review because we are not at all concerned.
