I really enjoyed my 7-night stay in this hotel in early September. It is deally located in terms of accessibility to the 1b airport bus stop, the Old Port, nice shops/restaurants and the most important sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful e.g. when I sought advice re my trip to Île de Ré. The breakfast was delicious and well supervised.

Just what I needed for a coupe of nights. Comfortable bed, clean room. Right in the centre of the town. 2 minutes from the bus station where you can get a cheap bus from and to the airport.

Centrally located and good for visiting all the La Rochelle has to offer.

Centrally placed hotel within easy walking distance of the centre of La Rochelle, port etc. Standard Ibis rooms, modern but with very small shower rooms - really small! Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet (ours looked over the street but was still quiet at night). No corridor noise but doors were loud if left to close. Everything very clean. Good buffet continental style breakfast with lots of choice. Staff friendly. No hotel parking - instead you're directed to a large underground car park on Place Verdun - 43€ for two days. Approx 5 min walk. Difficult to access the hotel by car - the centre of La Rochelle is a mass of one way or pedestrianised streets.

You have to be joking! This used to be a good hotel. We’ve stayed here a few times in the past. Since the Ibis owners turned their hotels over to franchise owners they’ve gone downhill. Here it seems they sought advice from a French battery chicken farmer and split the rooms in half. If your luggage is bigger than a small backpack forget it. Scruffy paintwork adds to the insult. You can barely get round the bed. Shame on the previous Ibis owners for doing this. They’ve ruined the brand.

Lovely clean room, reception and breakfast room The rooms was small but adequate for a 4 night stay. We liked the Eco scheme the hotel ran, where if you didn't request your room to be cleaned you got a free drink at the hotel bar.
