Very near the main station which was great for getting a train to Monaco. About 20 minutes walk from tram line 2 from the airport. To get to the old town and the seafront take tram line 1 about a 10 minute walk east from the hotel. The breakfast was great and the bar stayed open until midnight. Like all Ibis hotels the rooms were small but functional.

Booked this hotel as it is right next to the train station which was great as we were in Cannes first we arrived early and left our rucksacks in the luggage room.The room was basic but clean I didn’t like the mattress topper as it kept moving off the bed.The staff were all friendly and helpful.There is a free cold water machine and if you want hot water just ask at the reception and for ice also as there wasn’t a fridge in our room.The pool area was great some days we had it to ourselves.the closest tram stop for the airport is line 3 Jean Médecin and a ten minute walk or jump on the Line 1 tram to Gare Thiers.There are supermarkets close by.Its about 25 min walk to the old T town but try walking up the way as it’s slight cheaper for food and drink there.

The good: comfortable beds with nice bed linen. Everything is very clean and dust free on inspection. The curtains help to make the room super dark ensuring a good sleep. The bad: the smell as you enter the hotel is unpleasant. The drain smell in the bathroom is also overbearing. There aren’t enough places to put things, more shelving is needed in the bathroom and the toilet roll holder needs to be put by the toilet not the shower! The shower leaks all over the floor. The area by the pool needs tidying up and a good clean, especially by the sun beds. The freezer for the ice creams does not work and we were served melted ice creams which had clearly gone off then refrozen subsequently leading to an upset stomach. The vending machine on the same floor did not work.

Whilst the hotel is very central and has a pool, those are its only redeeming features. The rooms are tiny and staff service overall is very very poor. Most reception staff were rude, maids failed to clean the rooms most days so we had request basic things like towels and toilet roll and when I asked about allergies, I was met with a rude, dismissive response. The only shining light of the stay was a bartender named Khalil, whose sunny service was absolutely impeccable. Most others we encountered seemed like having guests was an inconvenience for them.

Experience was disappointing. To begin with, we were travelling with a severe gluten allergy. Upon entering the hotel we were asking for advice on eating in the hotel and the man at reception was extremely blunt and rude. Older man with glasses and black hair. He continued to be rude throughout the stay, anytime we engaged with him he was blunt and unhelpful. The other members of the reception team were lovely but he was exceptionally unhelpful. The room was very small and did not have much room to move. The room was also not cleaned daily, one of the days the bedding was left on top of the bed for us to put on ourselves. Unsure if this is standard practise in a hotel in Nice but I have never experienced this before. Most days we did not have toilet roll and we had to request at the reception. Bartender was extremely attentive and helpful. The most cheery staff member we encountered during our stay- Khalil was his name. Thank you for cheering us up!
