Clean, modern and surprisingly quiet

I stayed here twice during a week, each time for one day. It's a very clean, modern hotel and is attractively priced. The staff was great both times I stayed. The first time I had a bicycle with me and they were kind enough to store in a locked room. The rooms were a nice size (I had the double bed room) and had everything I needed The hotel sits across from the Dijon train station which makes it very convenient. Yet it is still quiet even with the trains. I would definitely stay here again.

Upon arrival nobody was at the reception desk. The staff at the bar kept ignoring us. After 15min somebody showed up to arrange the 2 rooms we had booked. First room had a terrible smell (smoker). The second room was already occupied by 2 young girls. So after 30min we were back at the reception with 2 small kids. The only solution offered was a room with 2 single beds, and a room fit for wheelchair customers. Absolutely not the rooms we had booked and asked for. The manager refused to show up and talk to us. Nothing was offered, although Silver member, as compensation. So we ended up with a room where one of the kids had to sleep alone. And another room which was much smaller due to a large bathroom. Wheelchair customers also don't seem to have cloths, as there was no closet in that room. The parking is nice to have, unfortunately some of the drainage covers are bend and can cause quite some damage to your car. Breakfast was ok. Positive thing: the location and parking (although keep in mind damage to the car).

Ibis Dijon Gare is very convenient for travelers both by train and car. Despite the fact that it is in front of the train station, it was pretty quiet. The room was small but very clean and comfy. The breakfast is not included but worth paying extra! Great selection of foods. No fridge in the room but it seems the same in other Ibis hotels we stayed...

Another average, satisfactory stay at an Ibis hotel. Usually you know what to expect from an Ibis and this was again the case with this hotel, but with a few exceptions. It was just across the road from the station and about a 15/20 minute walk to the centre. My room was clean and reasonably spacious and overlooked the railway tracks. I didn’t try breakfast as I had an early train to catch but I did have an evening meal which was satisfactory. The one thing I can’t understand is why there isn’t uniformity between each Ibis. The one I stayed at in Lyon offered complimentary hot drinks. This Ibis didn’t. The ibis in Lyon had breakfast included in the price. This one didn’t. If there was uniformity between hotels it would be easier to know where you are. So, overall, a basic Ibis. Nothing really terrible, nothing really amazing.

Less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and 15 minutes from centre of town, this hotel is ideally situated. A large air-conditioned room with double glazing. Very good bathroom area. Free wifi available which provides a strong signal. Very friendly and helpful English speaking reception. Breakfast was a bit disorganized but mostly due to a large group of children in a sporting team.
