Grand Hotel La Cloche Dijon is absolutely definitely NOT a 5 star hotel. It is a 4 star hotel at best. But there are not a lot of hotel choices in Dijon and this seemed to be the best choice. But... We stayed for three nights in Dec. 2022 - we were given a room on the third floor facing Darcy square. To be clear - the rooms do not look like the pictures so prepare yourself for something a little different. The room was bizarrely long with part being the bed, and the other part just a wasted space filled with old ikea looking big red and orange chairs. (think old college dorm lounge). The bed itself is very comfortable, pillows fine, but so many creepy curtains, and a bathroom that you can see in to. Shag carpet which is pretty gross in a hotel room, not to mention not the most sanitary choice. The toilet was in a separate closet and the walls in there are just plain dirty. (the room was relatively clean though...). Then there is a weird, long walk in closed that is just wasted space with nothing there but a few hangers and a safe. Check in - One strange and confused looking man who will park your car, but seems surprised when you ask for a ticket, or anything so that you can your car back. Then at the desk - service was quick but the woman seemed almost shocked that we had any questions. The whole experience was just weird. Room Service - a total joke. They don't open for orders until 7pm and there are only a few items on the menu. I had to call five times to beg for salt/pepper and ketchup for the cold fries that my husband received. His food showed up on a tray uncovered, with just a plate, no utensils, no nothing. After five calls, we gave up and just made sure to get credited on our bill. Breakfast - lovely breakfast and great breakfast staff. Hard to believe that the wonderful staff at breakfast is the same hotel. Overall - this hotel is really well located, but we would never stay again. My skin still itches at the thought of being in that room. (This was our third Accor hotel on this trip, and I am starting to believe that Accor is just not gonna be for us.)

We fully enjoyed our stay at La Cloche. The location, the ambiance, the amenities , the bar and the restaurant delivered everything we could ask for. All our expectations were met . In addition to this, we really appreciated the welcoming and friendly staff.

No point you advertising a spa, one can only book from the room once checked it. As soon as i got to the room i tried to book for the spa to relax after a long drive from London, only to be told it s fully booked. That s the second time it happened! Frankly for the price you charged, not worrh it. Other hotels have better service with free parking. Also staff not very polite, cold!!!

We have stayed at La Cloche several times. It has always been excellent. The room is quiet and clean. The staff have always been helpful. The location is perfect for walking around Dijon and is easily reachable by tram from the train station. The restaurant is quite impressive and worth reserving. If in Dijon again, we will certainly return to La Cloche.

Real Grand Hotel in a beautiful City

At the first glance she hotel looks a bit old-fashioned. But it has charm, an ideal location in the heart of beautiful Dijon, comfortable rooms (efficient AC), a chic bar, where real good cocktails are served. Breakfast has very good choice (the homemade jams are yummy). The only drawback ist the service at arrival: nobody assists you with your luggage or is showing you the room. Would I come again: yes definitely.
