I would have rated this hotel 3 out of 5 but for the amazing help I received after departure. I thought that I might have left my prescription sunglasses in the room, and, incredibly, they found them and immediately offered to post them to me. I received them 2 days later. I can't thank enough that lovely receptionist who is on duty usually in the mornings, and spent the time to resolve my problem. The rooms are indeed small, and rather dim, but the location is excellent, and it does the job.

Clean hotel excellent location friendly staff close to the town centre where’s there’s many restaurants will stay here again for sure if you need a taxi to the airport it’s best you book a day before as there’s not many taxi’s in carcasonne taxi from hotel was €22

The hotel is right on the edge of the old and even older city so great for visiting both. The staff were really good, their english being much better than our french. The rooms was quite small with only one window, so lights on were required to read, guide books, maps etc. In addition to the main bed, there was a wall mounted folding bed which I wouldn't like to have slept in and would have prepared an extra window. The bathroom was tiny are we are both tall and slim-ish so good luck to slightly large persons. The location is great and good value for money so you get what you pay for.

Stayed here for two nights; I wouldn't suggest more. I know that Ibis rooms aren't generous, but this room felt small, even for an Ibis. The bed was comfortable, however the pillows were thin and didn't offer me quite enough support. On the other hand, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was good value.

Location, breakfast very good, staff welcoming and helpful. Airport shuttle bus drops off and picks up from Le Dome about 5 minutes walk. Room size is compact and not much storage space other than the wardrobe. Bars and restaurants within 15 minute walk toards the train station and canal du midi in one direction and walled city over the footbridge in the other direction.
