Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Center 4 estrelas

This hotel is located next to the main train station (about 2-3 min walk). Room was of a decent size, clean and well equipped. Easy to work on the room during a business trip, yet room allows for relaxing time off too. Staff was attentive and helpful. There is a small gym on the top floor (very basic), with limited hours (not 24/7, if I remember well it is open 8.00 - 21.00 ( 8 am - 9 pm), they also offer sauna. I also visited their bar - for a dessert and drink. Very friendly and personable service. Chocolate lava cake was good, so was the selection of drinks. Hotel is the walking distance from The Grotto, in that area you can find wide selection of restaurants, Brasseries and bars. Overall - very good value for money paid. Very good value for

Absolutely fenomeno! Great staff, especially Mrs. Emilie from reception and also Kim. So friendly so attentive and helpfull, but all the compliments that I need to give is about the hsk services. Housekeepers doing gorgeous job and they are always so quiet, attentive and always able to assist you. I will come back for sure.

Very convenient location. Not only very close to the central station but also to the center. The room is very small and compact. If you have bigger luggage or if you are from western countries who are used to spacious hotel rooms, you feel uncomfortable. I’m Japanese who’s so used to small room. Breakfast was good. Good coffee, cheese, ham, bacon,salad, various breads and corn flakes and fresh orange juice but too pricey for 17.50 from 19.50. My favorite was sauna. I was refreshed in nice and clean small sauna with sauna stones equipped. It takes some time to get warm so take your time and adjust by löyly. There are amenities, too. Make your reservation at reception for an hour. You can ask for extension by the phone. I remember the sauna closes at 8pm so do your time management for good sauna time well. I payed 192 euro for a single room for one weekday and 129 for another weekday. I booked thru the hotel website so I believe I got the best rate. Quite expensive for a tiny room but I should say I was content by sauna.

This is one or the worst motel ever stayed! The room is smallest hotel room ever seen in my life with one twin bed and connected desk. If you want to sleep a pod next to train tracks - go ahead! It seems people like to get drunk in the train platform too! The surrounding area near is dirty and not safe. Thank God I’m only there for one night. What a nightmare! The only Plus side is the hotel bar was great service and options!

My main reason for staying he was for being close to Nijmegen train station - you can roll out the station into the hotel it’s that close! The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need! Breakfast is buffet style and pretty good. One downside to note is the hotel doesn’t have a proper restaurant in case you want to eat in for any reason. If you do need to order food it is made at another location and brought to the hotel (probably warmed in a microwave)!
