Average chain hotel, nothing jumps out as too awful. Staff were always friendly and helpful and the room itself was comfortable and sleek. Only downside was the location of the hotel, as the nearest train station into Amsterdam city central was not open, making getting around Amsterdam quite difficult. But not really the hotel's fault!

В номере темно, входная дверь скрипит, раздвижная дверь между ванной и комнатой застряла и не катается. Занавески, ковер и полотенца в каких-то пятнах. Из достоинств - только приличная ванная комната. За редким исключением персонал реагирует на вопросы с выражением лица "что вам еще от меня надо?". Завтрак по будням вроде бы до 10:00, но в 9:30 лотки уже пустые и не пополняются. К слову, в выходные та же история, хотя завтраки вроде бы до 12:00. Один из двух лифтов не работал и постоянно стояла очередь, но персонал был даже не в курсе поломки, пока я не сообщила.

Overall the mercure is a great hotel. It's located outside of the city centre but the metro is a ten minute walk and there is a direct line to central. The rooms are modern in design and the shower is hot and powerful. I would say the breakfast is very expensive 25 euros each and although it is nice it isn't worth the cost.

A nice hotel in Amsterdam with a great view. The room was quite small but very clean. There was a refrigerator in the room. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was a nice size but no safety bars in the shower. This hotel was not very close to the City Center; had to take a taxi. Breakfast was excellent! Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel location is great, just outside of the centre, reachable by metro (10 minutes walk) or tram (25 minutes walk). We used both options and it gives you an idea of the area. We stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. The reception staff are impeccable. The room was great with a lovely view on the 16th floor. We consumed breakfast however that was slightly disappointing. The fresh dishes were nice but for a 4 star hotel some of the produce such as coffee, jams and juices could be of a better quality. For the produce, it is quite overpriced in comparison with other Mercure hotels. Awi, however, the chef who was also helping out in the restaurant made it two perfect mornings for us. The view from the bar is lovely over the water and we would definitely recommend this property for other travellers.
