Located across Romischs Theater station yet within walking distance to Mainz old town without noise and crowd, perfect location. Check in was hassle-free, room was clean and wifi was strong. Check out the Kamin-Flammkuchen right behind the hotel, make reservations ahead!

Regular, modern chain hotel relatively near to city centre.

regular chain hotel. Very quiet. Interior is modern & clean. Relatively centrally located, short walk to the city centre. Stayed here with a friend and we both enjoyed it. Didn't try the breakfast or anything like that.

A very good choice when on a budget in Mainz. Quick service at the reception, nice (not that big) rooms with a good bed, toilet/bath OK, not much noise from the street. Supermarkets, restaurants and public transport within walking range. Breakfast is good, not the biggest selection of stuff but offers the most important things. To be recommended.

The hotel room is what you'd expect from Ibis. Simple, not very big but clean. However, as we stayed during warm days in April, the air conditioning wasn't working. It could only be set to heat while the temperature was already unbearable inside. Staff confirmed that it's an entire building thing and at that time, cooling down wasn't an option. So despite the hotel advertising air conditioning on its website, the temperature was way too high to sleep properly. Solution offered by the night staff? Open the window. Oh yes, i like that, because the street noise is going to help me sleep! Definitely what I had in mind when booking a hotel with AC! Ended up sleeping with ear plugs... And still too warm because, without air circulation, an open window doesn't help much. Another issue: the parking. There is one but the system is a nightmare. In fact, the worst parking system I've ever seen. Good luck getting the gate to open! Mainz was nice and I'll visit the city again but I'll make sure to avoid this place and so should you

We spent one night at the Mainz Ibis, it was a short walk to the restaurant we met friends at. The bed was comfortable, but better pillows were needed, we'll bring our own next time! The breakfast buffet was good!
