Excellent location, parking close by reasonable prices. The hotel is due to be updated, and the rooms are functional and clean. Breakfast is across the small square at the Novotel, plentiful and tasty, the hotel met my needs. Short walk into the city centre.

A very solid 4, recommended wuth small caveats Pros-There are many. You really couldn't be better placed if you want to drive to the hotel in your own vehicle. Walk out the front door and you're right among the Bruge loveliness. The carpark is a separate Europarks business that's essentially a large underground facility under the hotel, so proximityis splendid. Car park is spacious and about €16 per day, it's excellent. The hotel is quite dated and tired as of Oct 24 but the workmen were on site updating the place. Two niggles, the showers are above the baths which are very high sided. If you're elderly, grab an accessible room as the step-out is lethal. The other niggle are mosquitos. Even at the end of October they're around and biting (I was surprised too). Bruge has lots of water for them and the roofs have standing water. Shut your widows, have a swatting session, use the supplied bug killer plug -meh. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The place is clean if tired. Breakfast is an extra and is served (and administered) in the Novotel across the courtyard during the refurb. Breakfast is good, varied, plentiful and reasonable value. Surroundings are nice, we liked it. Even better if? Tea/coffee in rooms would be nice. Overall, a fabulous location, you couldn't be better placed. Good value for money. Needs that refurbishment, hence 4 stars, but I would stay again. If you want a value place to stay so you can enjoy the town bars/restaurants rather than the hotel be the main event, you've found what you're looking for.

Ok so it’s a bit tired and dated but it’s clean and comfortable and in a good position for a short city break . We had breakfast just around the corner at Cafe-Cafe a perfect start to a day that is sure to please . If you want a fantastic hotel just pay more ! This was fine for our little break in Brugge

Very poor experience

If I can give any advice it would be to steer clear from this hotel until it is upgraded. We stayed for 2 out of 3 nights, as by night 3, we just had to leave after being bitten alive by mosquitos, poor levels of cleanliness and the general disrepair of the rooms (I say rooms as we complained after the first night and they moved us to another Ibis room). If you can afford to stay at the Novotel, this was much better (we were moved to this hotel after complaining about the state of the rooms at Ibis). Complained to Ibis directly and received money back for the 2 nights we did stay. To Ibis management - you should not be letting rooms in this hotel. You are aware of the poor conditions and it is shameful that you continue to think the standards are acceptable. Please take action to close this hotel and speed up the refurbishment as the hotel is in a great location

Stopped one night as last stay on a motorcycle tour of Belgium. Was advised by staff to park bike right outside reception of Novotel opposite that had a 24hr reception. No check in at ibis as check in and breakfast were at Novotel. Breakfast usual euro fare. The ibis itself looked like it had seen much better days, a bit like the ones in the uk. Carpets need a clean and woodchip walls added to the ambience. Wish we had checked reviews re the mosquitoes prior to leaving the room window overnight as both of us were bitten around 20 times. Considering what we paid and the current state of the hotel I’d advise going elsewhere. We stayed at other Ibis in our trip and all were much nicer than this one.
