Good location though quite dated

We stayed for one night whilst travelling through western France. The location is great, just a couple of minutes walk from the centre. The front of house staff were really pleasant and helpful. There’s no parking but there are plenty of spaces outside and on the adjoining roads and we had no problem finding a space. You have to pay but its free after 5pm until 9am and free all Sunday. The reception and communal areas are fine however the rooms are pretty dated and show quite significant signs of wear - we had a black mould around the window and then curtains had lots of small holes. The room had a mildly unpleasant damp smell. The rooms are also fairly basic with little in the way of any mod cons although there is wifi. Its a fairly basic hotel that needs a refurb but its location and staff more than make up for that.

Amazing service (in difficult circumstances).

Our car broke down and our insurance company booked us a room at the Ibis in Alencon. The staff could not have been more helpful and understanding especially as we arrived at 1am. Our room was lovely and clean (but very warm). The breakfast had a great selection and was delicious. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff. You made a horrible experience a lot more bearable.

Time warp hotel.

Unfortunately the interior of this hotel is stuck in a time warp. The carpet is the same one from 1998, and the bedroom interior wall colour is something to behold. It’s clean and functional enough, but while the rest of the town has greatly improved with new shops and pedestrianisation, the Ibis is still clinging on to the 20th century.

My beautiful young wife and I enjoyed a three night stay here recently. The Hotel is clean and tidy with comfortable rooms. The location is close to the centre and many shops, bars and restaurants (La Reservé on the same street is very good). WiFi is good, and free. There is on-street Payant parking outside and a reasonably priced underground car park across the road (under the Halle aux Toiles). The staff are helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel near the city center. Reception open day and night. Friendly and helpful staff. Well-kept rooms with TV. Excellent bathroom and tasty breakfast with sufficient variety. For us a downside was the lack of a guarded parking lot. Little problem for those traveling with limited luggage. But we had expensive bicycles with us and could not park in front of or near the hotel. The receptionist offered to keep our bicycles in storage. We gladly accepted that offer. Highly recommended for people in transit. Certainly an interesting stay for those visiting the city.
