Great central hotel

The hotel is in a great location with the railway station opposite and the main town only a 10 minute walk away. There is parking on site but only for about 2 or 3 cars so best to book in advance, it costs 15 euros. All of the staff were helpful and check in was fast. The rooms were of a good size for a family of 3, it was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. The bar is reasonable prices. We have booked to return for a night to break our journey up on the way back through France.

Poor standards

Allocated room 502 which had a dirty stained carpet. Reception changed room to 510 which was not much better with chipped furniture and dusty. At breakfast the staff failed to acknowledge the guests and some mornings either no plates or cutlery were available. No tongs were provided and food from the buffet had to be taken by folk. A moldy peach was in the fruit basket for at least two days. When checking out I made Reception aware of the above comments advising that I had never come across such poor standards before in an IBIS hotel. I made my email address available to the hotel should the management want any further details but to date I've heard nothing from them.

Good "overnight" hotel. Breakfast was most acceptable, evening meal was somewhat lacking..Parking is is available on site, places are very limited, so bookingin advance is advised. There is however public parking across the street, how secure it is I can not say.

Dear guest, We are happy that you've overall enjoyed your stay in our hôtel ! You are right in underlining the fact that our hotel do not own a restaurant, though our bar do serve snacking such has pizzas and ready made artisanal meals serve in glass bowls, 24/7. Most of our client choose to benefit from the special rate we negociated for them with the parking across the street and so far, we never had any problem regarding security ! finger crossed. We arrived on our bikes in the middle of a heatwave and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We able to store the bikes in their secure car park, the rooms were clean with very effective air conditioning. We ate dinner in the hotel which was OK, but it's just reheated pots of food. Breakfast is served very early if requried with a very good choice.

Cancelled without notice

I booked a room 3 months ago through Booking.com for June 29, 5 nights.. I read elsewhere that one should check reservations made through Booking.com as they might not exist. Two weeks ago, I emailed the hotel and sure enough, I was told that I had no reservation because of "payment refused." Booking.com still showed "Confirmed" and when I phoned, the agent had no explanation except that this sometimes happens. She cancelled the non-existent reservation. .Hotel was now fully booked. What a disaster this would have been as it's the weekend of Le Mans Classic. Fortunately I was able to secure lodging directly at another hotel.

Dear guest, If you chose to book through booking.com, know that it is not unlikely that the booking which should have been prepaid (payment upon confirmation of booking) or that is at a flexible rate but do need a valid credit card information to be kept, but for which the card is declined or marked as invalid, is cancelled. We do not keep ungaranteed reservations, especially not those considered to be long stays or at special event's time and we do try to contact the guests for whom such card mishaps happens. However, without answer or personnal information with which we may reach out to you, automatically a cancellation do occur. We are sorry that unfortunately something went wrong with the garantee method or the paiement of your booking, but we follow the same proceedings for every one of our clients.
