Not what we have come to expect from Mercure/Accor, but some aspects of the space and location were good.

There was a shortage of staff to help us with our luggage up the entryway to the hotel. A/C repair works complete with a pail and plastic covers greeted us at reception and outside of our room, which was adjacent. The ante-room provided privacy and quiet from the hall. The room itself was spacious and tastefully decorated, although the bathroom and toilet were a bit cramped. The use of paper cups for our welcome drinks seemed off putting. The window view of our room facing the promenade was blocked by an 18 wheeler which parked right outside. The early morning pickups and drop offs of supplies woke us up in the wee hours of the morning. There was a strange intermittent, yet constant buzzing sound that kept us awake. None of the electronics on the bedside worked, including USB charging outlets, phone, and the battery of the safe conked out. We could hear the opening and shutting of the automatic doors from our room, which was on the first level facing the front. The staff couldn't do anything to address these issues, while we were there. Unfortunately, as an Accor member and for the price we paid, this was not up to scratch. We made the most of it, but we wouldn't book here again or recommend it to others.

The location is perfect and the hotel staff are kind and helpful. I have been a few times and love it. Splash out on one of the balcony rooms that look out onto Promenade des Anglais and all tue action. And visit Frog around the corner for the best value lunch menu express

The location of this hotel is excellent. It overlooks the sea and beach and was around the corner from the old town and flower markets. As the hotel is next to the Opera house, the tour bus stops outside and can be picked up from there. Being a 5 minute walk from the tram makes it easily accessible. We had a sea view/ balcony room with amazing views. However, the room was tiny. The bathroom was also very small. There was limited storage space and no drawers. There was a kettle and coffee machine but paper cups and no bottled water. We did spot a water machine in the corridor but this was by chance. To access the hotel there is flight of steps to the reception level and then no lift to the first floor . There was no help to get the cases up the stairs. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was adequate. The hotel was clean and as I said had an excellent location. It was a good 2/3 star hotel but did not feel 4*.

Hotel is in great location and opposite a beach club which offers a discount for hotel guests. The hotel does not have a lift which is not a big issue as it only has 1 floor. Th rooms are very small with little room to move around the bed. We had a room with a balcony which was great s it allowed an area to escape to from the small room. The size of the bathroom is very small, similar to the size of a cruise ship bathroom. The breakfast area was located on a lower level floor and the food area always had bugs, small bugs flying around the food please be careful. and during my stay I did actually get sick so be careful. The staff were always very friendly and polite. I would pick this hotel because of its location only, its right next to the old town. I note most rooms in Nice are small in size.

The only positive thing to say about this "Hotel" is location. It is close to the beach, restaurant, it is in the promenade des anglais. The room we had with ocean view was VERY small, so small it was almost impossible to walk from the bathroom to the balcony. The bathroom also very small with a broken shower, liking every where. There was amenities only the first day we stay, after that nothing was refurbished for the next 3 days. The AC barely worked. They have set at a temperature to only cool off the room but this was not even enough to get a decent rest at night. The hair dryer never worked and when complain about it they insisted it does. When asked to borrow a real one, they wanted to charge us a deposit for it, despiste the fact there was not a functional one in the room. When asked to switch rooms, they only said " sure, will let you know later and later never came. This was also the case for the other 2 rooms we rented for my friends. One of my friend asked for a coffee maker, just like other rooms had. The answer was "sorry, we have no more". The service was VERY bad in this hotel. So I suggest you spend a little more monet and stay elsewhere. They don't care at all about the customers. I wish I could give them a zero as a review, this what they really rate.
