The hotel is in a good location. It is clean & in most cases, the staff are polite & helpful. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the lifts & only one was working, so getting to & from the 8th floor was problematic. The noise from the tramway is somewhat annoying. Our biggest problem was the bar, which didn’t seem to have enough glasses & on the Saturday, after a fantastic night at the San Siro, we got back at around 11:50, only to be told we could not get served because the bar was closing. Sadly, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Starting with the weird part - hotel lounge. I arrived late so needed food. I ordered lasagna, bottle of water and I wanted a draft beer (my preference) but was told it was done so I ordered a Perroni bottle. I received my beer and a paper cup like the nurse would give you with water for your pills. Then I came back to order a chocolate croissant and 2 people in front of me received draft beer. So I said I would like to order a draft beer and a chocolate croissant and was told I couldn't and i asked why they could in front of me. He said its now out. I asked well 30 minutes ago I tried to order a draft beer and now people are getting draft beer and I was told that its now out and they thought it was before. Ok I am back at my table and 5 minutes later I see the bartender pouring a draft beer. So I go up and ask you have a new keg? And I was told no but he was able to pour a draft beer for that person as he had a glass and they had no clean glasses. I said well what are those 3 clean glasses there that are sitting there the same as the draft beer glass this person had his beer poured into. I was told they are now out of draft beer and its been a messy night. I am not sure what the problem is, I was polite, Either he didnt like me for some reason - because I am Canadian ? Or the policy is dont use glasses. I emailed the contact front desk gave me and received no reply about my problem. I did not try to go to this lounge again as I prefer to have positive experiences on vacation. The meat Lasagna was bad. Hard to find the meat. The hotel is in a great location. Some very nice cafe's near by. Great food and they serve draft beer to everyone! I think the best shopping in Milan is only a few minutes walk away. Room is smaller but very well set-up, bigger then some Ibis, bed was good, room was clean. Shower is nice but will all of sudden switch from hot water to cold for a few seconds - you get used to that, its a shower wand so just turn it away from yourself when it goes cold. Happened all 4 days. Rating is poor because of the draft beer experience and no one replied back to my complaint. Would have been higher otherwise.

An OK budget hotel. The small rooms are ok, but somehow very noisy from external noise. From 5.30 am felt every subway train leaving nearby station, and we were on the 6th floor. Room was very warm, and even being in October we both slept on top of duvet. Lifts in the mornings were taking a 15 minute wait.

We were a group of 15 people from 5 to 9/10/25 most of the people had problems with the keycard but the worse thing happen the last night, We were in room 511 with my friend, we were sleeping when we wake up with a noise finding a man in the middle of the room we started to yelling the man and he left the room. In the reception didn’t know how this happened. The next day we make a complaint to the manager, he apologies and he understands why we were very upset. This was a really very scare to wake up and see somebody in our room. I suppose we need to feel safe in the hotel but it didn’t happen. I hope they review the keycard system. Cristina

Ok base but quite basic

Arrived 3pm and was able to check in straight away. Was allocated a room on the 6th floor in the ‘red’ block. Room clean but very basic and not decorated like the pictures on the website - wood chip walls not the big picture behind the beds, basic bathroom with a very green sink unit! Nice to have a safe free to use and a small but useable wardrobe. However, only plug socket is by the door or just inside the bathroom. One USB socket on one side of the bed! Supposedly double glazed but could clearly hear tram 1 (old rickety one) going up and down the street below. Also some noise from other guests who were letting their doors slam! Initial feeling of the area wasn’t that great, but there are cafes and little supermarkets close by. However there are plenty of other hotels around the area and always people around. About 20-30 minute walk to Duomo or other main areas. Trams within a couple of minutes and the Metro 3 (very easy) less than 5 minutes away. The hotel does offer a bistro for breakfast but there are so many options close by, which are definitely more Italian, we didn’t use it. Did use the early evening cocktail offer - buy one and there is a small pizza buffet you can take from! Didn’t have a lot of contact with the staff after check in, but am grateful as the one contact I did have with a manager I found her to be very abrupt and rude! If I went back to Milan I possibly wouldn’t use this hotel again, but for a budget abut clean hotel within 10 minutes walk to the station it is what it says.
