Don’t expect to feel valued as a platinum Accor ALL member

I’ve noticed this can be the case quite often in North American Accor hotels and something Accor probably needs to look into. There is no valuing of the Accor All membership and you feel anything but special - especially when you’re platinum. We’ve now stayed in 6 Accor properties in North America and haven’t received a single complimentary upgrade (stays ranging from 2 nights - 6 during the week and weekends). For this one the room was old, dated and smelt musty. Towels were old and threadbare. Sheets were thin with holes. You get the gist. Drilling above our head started early in the morning and there was no warning from the front desk. Do they care? Clearly not. About all we can say is that it’s a good location.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, I completely understand how not receiving complimentary upgrades as this can be frustrating. With regards to our hotel our housekeeping team take a lot of pride in their role so I can assure they will react positively and work even harder to improve the ordering of our linens where necessary. Horrible, waste of my $800, never again

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK HERE. Writing a review for my deep dissatisfaction regarding an extremely unprofessional experience. my partner and I had at your hotel on September 12–13, 2025, specifically involving the conduct of a manager named Maria (who, unfortunately, refused to provide her last name). We initially booked a room on September 12, ( Paid $300) and later that night, at approximately 4:30 AM, we went to the front desk to secure an additional room for a friend who had just arrived after a long drive. We clearly communicated that she would need the room until September 14 at 12 PM, as we wanted her to be able to rest properly before continuing her travels. The front desk staff confirmed the booking and everything seemed to be in order. (Spent additional $400) However, the following day, we were informed that the checkout for that room was actually scheduled for September 13, not the 14th, and that no extension had been applied. Had we been properly informed at the time of booking that the check-out would be the same day, we would have simply waited until after the standard check-in time to secure the room for the full duration needed. This miscommunication left us frustrated and confused, as there was no clear explanation or accountability from the staff. When we called to clarify the issue, the call was escalated to Manager Maria, whose tone and approach were shockingly unprofessional. Rather than listening to our concerns or checking with her staff, she repeatedly interrupted us, defended the employee without investigating the details, and condescendingly remarked that “this is how every hotel operates” and that we should have known better. She went as far as to suggest that if we didn’t like it, we could “go to another hotel.” Although she later offered to extend the room until the 14th for an additional $75, my partner returned to the front desk about 45 minutes later to confirm this, only to be told that the offer had expired. The staff member stated that because we expressed dissatisfaction with our experience, the offer was no longer valid. This felt not only unreasonable, but retaliatory and disrespectful. When we came down again to book another night — despite the previous frustration and nearly $1,000 already spent at the hotel — the situation escalated further. Maria accused my partner of speaking about her in another language (which was untrue), made inappropriate facial expressions and comments, and ultimately refused us further service, saying, “We’re not accepting you at this hotel.” This type of conduct from a hospitality professional, especially a manager, was appalling. It left us feeling discriminated against, mistreated, and deeply disrespected. We were attending an important event in the area and had no other immediate accommodation options, which made this experience even more disruptive and distressing. At no point did we act disrespectfully or aggressively, and yet we were treated as though we were the problem for asking for clarity and fairness. ⸻ Our Requests: 1. A formal apology for the treatment we received, especially from Manager Maria.She seems like she was taking it very personal. Or were we discriminated ? 2. A full refund for the night of September 13, which was miscommunicated to us and mishandled. 3. An internal review of the staff conduct at this location to ensure that future guests are treated with professionalism, respect, and fairness — regardless of background or language. We chose Novotel expecting a high standard of service, and what we received was the exact opposite.

Clean and new hotel felt very quiet and cozy. Convenient location to a lot of different restaurants and coffee shops and bars

Would not book it again at half price

Booked a “sleeps 3” room but was given only a king bed. Reception refused to change it, saying I should complain to Expedia. Staff didn’t seem to care that three people would be crammed into one bed. Room (1405) faced the AC unit — noisy even on the 14th floor. Floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned; found multiple hairs stuck to fruit I dropped. Hotel feels old, dated, and poorly maintained. Generous rating would be 3 stars — more like 2.5.
