Great place to stay for stop over to watch football.Locaction ten minutes by bus or Uber really easy journey.Rooms very spacious Gym downstairs lovely staff and really nice breakfast plenty of parking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We absolutely loved this hotel. The room was lovely, had everything we needed. Breakfast was 5*. The hotel had a lovely gym too, and a lift for those unable to use the stairs. Check in and check out was easy. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Manchester.

Very good facilities for a 3* hotel, includinga gym. Lots of positives with some minor points that stop me giving this hotel a 5. The positives Decent sized carpark Easily accessible from the motorway and close to amenities Good sized room with a sofa. Comfortable bed. The blackout curtains do an excellent job. Complimentary toiletries and good sized towels. A couple of biscuits along with the usual tea and coffee. Plenty of storage space. The extra inner door reduces noise from the corridor. The drawbacks Whilst the separate toilet initially seems like a good idea, the lack of a sink in the compartment makes it poor for hygiene. You have to open 3 doors to get to a sink to wash your hands. The shower is over the bath. This isn't a problem in itself but the overall design means the shower heads are are too low. The rainfall head in particular was only any good for very short people or children. The lighting in the room was, like many hotels, not really good enough for putting on makeup or reading However, overall a very good hotel with good staff and the added bonus of being a short drive from a park and ride into the city, a pub and restaurant.

Big chain, little care

This is a big chain hotel located quite a distance from Manchester (between 30 and 60mins drive depending on traffic). Drinks and food significantly overpriced for what is effectively mid level pub grub. Some staff were reasonable, but many were rude and appeared to not want to be there. There was a situation where I asked if the bar was still open (this would have been my first drink as I'd only recently checked in) I was told by the barman 'yes'. I said directly to him 'OK is it alright if I go for a cigarette first?' he replied 'yes'. Then whilst I was having a cigarette, I saw him close the bar and leave. I went back in and the receptionist said 'the bar is closed'. This was nothing more than militant awkwardness ie he wasn't wrong to affirm my ability to smoke, and he wasn't wrong to close the bar, but anyone with an ounce of customer relations would have at least said 'you can go for a cigarette but I'm closing very soon, so it might be closed when you get back'. I wasn't, nor never would ask for the bar to kept open just for me, but this just felt a bit impersonal. I suppose that's what you get a big chain hotels, the staff don't really care about how they or the brand is perceived, they're just there to offer the minimum they can get away with. There is no real passion, nor even interest in how the brand is perceived. There is nothing to do in and around the area, no shops, bars etc, there is a pub at the end of the lane, that was only loud because it had a group of miscreants in it. The hotel bar had mainly groups of Business men, and sole travellers like myself. The staff weren't really for talking so all in all I was bored. Rooms weren't fitted adequate aircon so I'd hate to stay there in summer. TV was basic. Only saw a tiny gym as far as facilities go. So probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, and I've stayed in many. A change to the advertised location, and major overhaul on staff culture are required to make this hotel come anywhere near what it purports to be.

Gj Zaken - ALL bevestigde berichten

Verblijf an sich goed; echter de afwikkeling vwb rewards kan vele malen beter. Ondanks melding cq overleg van meerdere kaarten/overnachtingen met Heather moeten er toch ‘missing points’ geclaimd gaan worden. Voor beide kaarten is dit niet juist behandeld.
