Good location, room not recent but clean, quiet at night on the courtyard side. However, be aware that contrary to what is stated on their website, there is no gym. Instead, the hotel directs guests to an external gym in the neighborhood, where an entrance fee must be paid. This is unacceptable given the nightly rate. Since the gym was a key criterion for choosing the hotel, the least they could do is inform customers before booking.

This gym provides a wide range of sports and training options and is available to our hotel guests at a special rate of 9 EUR. Noisy hotel- casinos and bars across street. Rooms were hot- Air conditioner wouldn’t turn on due to outside temperature not being above 18 C. Front desk did allow us to change rooms to center court which was better for noise. We did ask for a fan which was provided.

A Great Option in München

It happened to be the fourth Mercure hotel we stayed in 2024, after Metz (France), Bologna (Italy) and Bydgoszcz (Poland). As usual, a Mercure hotel seldom disappoints. No points for guessing, we hold ALL membership, and prefer to stay in Mercure hotels whenever possible, and wherever they are available. Mercure Hotel München City Center scores on most counts. It is located close to the München Hauptbahnhof (Main Station), the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is good, the bar is excellent and the minibar in the room was free to use. The only downside was the fact that we had paid via points will making the booking. Unfortunately, the staff member charged the entire amount on the card. We faced the same problem in Bologna, but the staff member checked once again. It didn't happen this time. So, we ended up losing both the accrued points and the extra cash :) This is by no means a complain, but since it has happened twice now, it will be great if the management at Mercure looks at the issue. Why can't the reception staff see the prior payment made through encashment of points? Having said that, when we visit München next, we will not hesitate to stay in the same hotel. Vielen Dank.

９日間の滞在をしましたが、全体的に満足しています。部屋の設備に不具合があった場合も、迅速に対応してくれました。駅から近く立地は良いのですが、ホテル前の通りが綺麗だとは言えないと思います。女性、子供だけだと少し不安になると思います。

Mercure hotel located close to Munich main train station. It’s just 3-4 minutes walk from station. Hotel room is very spacious. Hotel staffs are kind and helpful. It’s 4 stars hotel and service like 5 stars. Mercure hotel is best hotel to stay in your Munich trip
