Don’t make the mistake we did trying to save some money.

The truth to be said saving over EUR 20 or 30 a night isn’t worth it. There are so many choices around Muchen HBF and this can be filtered out from your choices. Room sound proofing was terrible, we hear traffic every night and construction starting early morning right outside the hotel. The room while adequate was generally dark and pillow too slow and bed too “solid”. Service was generally terrible and we felt like criminal walking through the front lobby when returning even though we greeted the staff hello each night we came back.. she was on her earphone and probably did not hear us but return our friendliness with a standard glare. Despite belonging in to an international hotel chain, the staff clearly lack service standard when we wanted to exchange fresh towels (per hotel staff we were to bring down our hotel every 2nd night ourselves) we were asked to wait, and for 3 customer who came in the check in and for enquiry despite being just behind the first customer. Such lack of prioritization shows lack of training or SOP. Overall this one is forgettable option in a highly competitive area.

What a surprise -- in the heart of the city this was a beautiful set up with a gorgeous bathroom, small kitchen, small table and chairs. Very clean. Storage for luggage if needed for early arrivals or late departures. Helpful and friendly staff. Cannot recommend enough. A quick walk from the main train station, to Oktoberfest grounds, and also to the old city. Location was perfect! We paid a lot for this room as a last-minute booking during Oktoberfest, so I can't say much for the value at other times of the year. Also, since it was so close to the Oktoberfest grounds, it got very noisy at closing time. NOT the fault of the hotel, as their windows were very soundproof -- just part of the cost of being so close to all of the fun.

Personal Property Stolen from Room

I would have given an excellent rating except that my two phone chargers and outlet adapter were stolen from my room. There is no housekeeping unless you request it, so no one should have ever entered my room. I felt very violated and couldn't trust that my property was safe after that incident. Warning to anyone staying at this property, be sure to lock up EVERYTHING in the room safe.

I stayed for 4 nights and the experience was very bad. The rooms are good, but there is no room service. They don't clean, they don't take out the trash, they don't change the towels and the breakfast is extremely expensive. It's not worth it. So expensive.
