Stayed with friends as was attending something in South Kensington and it was the perfect location. Short walk to Hammersmith station and lots of great places for drinks and food. We did a family room as we were a group of three friends and wanted to be together. Pull out sofa bed was really comfortable, and excellent check in (from 3pm) and check out times (before 12noon). Staff extremely friendly and you are able to leave your bags in a secure area post check out.

I like this hotel, a friend of mine stayed here when she came to visit me and we spent some time trying cocktails at the bar where there was a good DJ. Good cocktails and nit expensive at all.The breakfast was really good and, as my friend is Accor VIP member, we could enjoy the breakfast in a private area and we really appreciated this as it was quieter. So we decided to try the Artisan restaurant where we had one of the best fillet we have had in our life and we were really impressed by the service provided and the smoke that comes out by the kind of cloche, the presentation is unique for the king prawns as well. The service was really warm and friendly and we will definitely come back again. Thank you Katia and Federico and to all the Novotel Team! Keep up like this!

We had an Executive Room with fold out sofa bed. I think executive means average. Nothing special. The room was fine. Bathroom was reasonably spacious. Shower weak but easy to use. Moulded sink area very neat. Towels good. 3 small cartons of complimentary water in the fridge. Additional cartons were £3.75 each in the foyer shop. VERY expensive even for a London hotel. Lifts poor. From front main Lobby to Foyer there are just two lifts serving all arrivals. One was out of action. Other one would not lift the 8 persons it was certified for. Overweight alarm appears on display after 4 persons get in. No obvious stairway to Foyer. Extremely annoying and you only get 1 chance to make a first impression. Then from reception there were a block of 4, but only 2 were working. Just before we left we found there were another bunch behind these but not obviously signposted anywhere. Staff generally very helpful and polite. Lots of room cleaning going on in the evening in the corridors. Breakfast - overall not good value. The knives were blunt. Is this a safety precaution? Or over use? The fresh fruit selection consisted of unripe and poorly prepared fresh fruit. Melon slices with seeds. No one prefers seeds on their melon. The sliced pineapple was not cutable by the knives provided. Eventually I removed the skin by nibbling it from my fingers. A tray of uncooked black pudding was placed in the buffet area alongside the cooked black pudding. I recognised it as uncooked but perhaps someone unused to British cuisine might try to eat it raw. Hugely overcooked grey/green tinged fried eggs were poor. Undercooked pale sausages in trays meant I had to really search for one with a bit more caramelisation. Coffee distinctly average. Overall I wouldn’t be encouraged to return. Staff were excellent but the overall offering poor.

Granted this was a work trip to attend a show over 3 days in nearby Olympia but I was shocked at how much this place had gone downhill since my last stay 5 years ago which I couldn’t fault at the time. It felt like a small step up from a hostel to be honest. Towels were like sandpaper, my room phone didn’t work so to get room service I had to phone main reception from my mobile and be transferred (took 15 minutes to get anyone on reception to answer…). No one bothered to fix it while I was there over the 3 days… Trays and dirty cutlery were left in my room by cleaners all day. Sugar packets were so old they were caked solid. The food was awful. Runny curry, tasteless Mac and cheese and the chicken fillet on the Caesar salad was rock solid. So disappointing given the food prices. The only plus was the room was nice and cool, bed was ok and it was lovely and quiet. Will not be returning.

Nice hotels with nice restaurants and super friendly staff. We have tried all their culinary options and the best was Artisan, great and relaxing atmosphere. The manager and the team there go above and beyond to make you feel special! I will definitely come back.
